Genetically Modified Foods Persuasive Essay
Genetically modified foods are engineered foods, genes from other plants and animals also in bacteria inserted into their genetic codes, they bred both there plants and animals to produce desired traits. They put poisons in these modified foods for them to grow even faster then what they are originally suppose to grow like. By them doing all that it hurts these plants and animals they are not able to grow at there naturally growth. Putting all these chemicals and genetic poisons into are foods has a big impact on us we as humans eat these foods and us not thinking what its doing to our bodies. It could mess up our bodies from the inside and outside of our bodies people who have cancer get it worse they can die from all this genetically modified foods that's being put into these plants and animals all the poisons and chemicals.

We wouldn't even of known half of the foods that are already processed genetically, we wouldn't have known that they use these poor animals and plants for testing and experiments. Why abuse our environment ? Just to put bad stuff into things

I would like to have a healthy body inside and out I wouldn't want for this to keep going on especially for the kids now a days, gaining to much weight at a young age and growing into it has they get older. Each person has a standard on how they should eat and what they eat, or how they live without having to worry about any side effects. Our governments should have the same standards as we do to keep us safe and let us know when something is not safe or could harm us later. Ethics is a very thin line when organizations or governments see profits over safety. Why do we need to do this GMO? Ethics says that we should let things happen naturally and not interfere with what nature has intended.…

The risks to our health and exposed for using genetically modified crops or plants have not been yet proven because we are too early in the game of this genetically modification and engineering process. Thinking that this is a small solution to our problem for hunger and feeding Americans, then maybe they are just creating more problems that may not have solutions for in the future. However, the US National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine, states otherwise. In a new report that details how genetically modified organisms are apparently safe for human consumption and surprisingly, also have significant benefits for human health and the environment(FDA.org). They base their findings on an intensive and detailed report with past studies about GMOs. The many interviews with scientists, researchers and field experts that have data stating that they are not bad for one’s health. This helps determine whether it is good or bad for the health when it comes to eating genetical modified foods. They even have a new study that suggests that when crops are being engineered to improve human health, by altered to produce more vitamins or nutrients. This might be one good side of it, but why should we playing with mother nature? This is a big gamble we are…

Science leads to medical, and technological advances, and even the modification of food humans eat, in Mary Shelley’s gothic novel, Frankenstein, she captures question of how scientists can do this. “The world to me was a secret, which I desired to discover: to her it was a vacancy, which she sought to people with imaginations of her own” (Shelly 21). All the discoveries Scientist make lead to a bigger questions of truly how safe is the modification of food. The United States alone, consumes over 70%-80% of the Genetically Modified Organisms made. Most developed countries have either restriction or have banned Genetically Modified Organisms after chronic illness, food allergies and other mental/health disorders have increased. Over the last…

Most of America eats in ignorance, completely oblivious to the herbicides and pesticides invading their bodies. Perhaps it is because no United States laws require foods that contain genetically modified organisms to be labeled. Therefore, people are unknowingly damaging their bodies. Genetically modified organism studies on animals have recorded effects of GMO toxicity, including immune deregulation, accelerated aging, infertility, deregulation of genes, and altered structure and function in the liver, kidney,…

A genetically modified food or GM food product is defined as “meat and edible plants modified through genetic engineering” (Genetically Modified (GM) Foods, 2015). Furthermore, human beings have engaged in the process of genetically modifying plants and animals, with selective breeding practices within identical species, “since the beginning of civilization” (Genetically Modified (GM) Foods, 2015). However, current methods of genetic modification can cross species boundaries, which require suppressive techniques to ensure the foreign genes are accepted by the target plant or animal (Genetically Modified (GM) Foods, 2015). Indeed, this process has led to significant debates regarding the safety of the products that contain GM ingredients and whether these products should be clearly labeled to assist consumers in making an informed choice.…

In recent history, many people have become wary of the infamous genetically modified organisms (GMOs), which are commonly found in many foods and products, from corn to cotton. However, there are a series of documented dangers associated with GMOs and they have caused a divide between those who support GMOs and hope to reassure the consumer that GMO’s are safe, versus those who oppose GMOs and promote the removal of them from their favorite products. Despite strong arguments from both sides, there is extremely sufficient evidence to prove that GMO’s are nothing to be afraid of.…

Food shortage, world hunger, an starvation have been a big problem for the world. Scientist are trying to grab a hold of these problems before matters get any worse. Food shortage, world hunger, and starvation are three reasons as to why scientists have decided to modify foods. GM foods are a new genetically modified way to "improve" crop production, but these new improvements are not as helpful as scientists planned them to be. GM foods should play no role in the global food supply because GM foods have no beneficial role within humans lives.…

How would you feel if I told you that the food you're eating was made in a science lab? Genetically modified organisms, or GMOs, are the outcome of a laboratory process where genes from the DNA of one species are extracted and artificially manipulated into the genes of an uncorrelated plant or animal. Crops are often genetically modified to be resistant to pesticides so farmers would be able to spray them without harming the crop itself. However, there are many consequences regarding consumers’ health and environmental problems. Many people question the safety of consuming genetically modified organisms. Companies should acknowledge that their product is genetically modified by placing a label on the product because customers have a right to know. Furthermore, there are several serious health complications that may rise to the consumer. And finally, genetically modifying organisms should be limited by being placed in a controlled environment to prevent contamination with other species because it can be harmful to the environment in several ways.…

The American Academy of Environmental Medicine cites animal studies that “show organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility, as well as human studies that show how genetically modified food can leave material behind inside us, possibly causing long-term problems,” (Smith). For example, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine found that “genes inserted into genetically modified soy can transfer into the DNA of bacteria living inside us, and that the toxic insecticide produced by genetically modified corn was found in the blood of pregnant women and their unborn fetuses,”…

Not all foods are as they seem. Certain foods labeled as a Genetically modified organisms, which are more commonly known as GMOs Free, are in fact not. GMOs are foods that have added bacteria and genes. There are only certain labels that can be trusted on some foods you eat and cook with today. The apple that a child is eating can in fact be genetically modified to make it cheaper and more readily available. There are labels you can trust, such as ones that say “Organic”, or “Non-GMO Project Verified”. One may see “GMOs free” , or “Non-GMOs” they do not have certain standards to stay up to date with. Food labeled “Organic” do not contain GMOs (Harrar 97-100). Organic foods are healthier than GMOs.…

The process of using different genes from different sources to genetically modify foods led to public outcry and sometimes, praise. People in support of genetically modified foods claims it will enhance the quality of the food, improve the food’s resistance to pests and other harmful elements, lower food costs, and also increase food security for the future.
