In 2014, one of the greatest football movies was released. When the Game Stands Tall, Based on a true story about De La Salle’s football team, and their streak of 151 wins in a row. When The Game Stands Tall, is an inspirational and comedy movie, it makes you smile and love the idea’s set behind the actual football team. I would recommend this movie to almost anyone, because of the love and loyalty that goes through the whole movie. De La Salle high school is an all-boys catholic school that holds the national record for the longest streak of football games won. But the idea behind the streak did not keep the team going on and winning, it was the idea of brotherhood. When the Game Stands Tall was about a football team that went from national champions and a long lived streak to no streak and disappointment. The new team ran by Bob Ladouceur, and the team captains Chris Ryan and the coach's son. The team is not founded on the loyalty and trust as it was before the seniors graduated, so the team had to start over and build the new foundation for them while they had nothing to hold on too. …show more content…
They started out by losing the streak and losing their way, they found it back once they went to a veteran’s rehabilitation center. The team soon got the streak back after beating the number one team in the league long beach poly. They were severely outnumbered and outnumbered in weight and height.
