Flexibility And Leadership Skills: Tryon
Over the Thanksgiving period on 11/27 to 12/4, Tryon showcased his flexibility and leadership skills. While the BDA operation experienced staffing issues, due scheduled and unscheduled leave, Tryon volunteered to be the POC for each day. Tryon was able to lead the staff during the PM shift, and took part in all administrative duties that are expected of a LBDO, which include conducting briefing, strength and SSI reporting, and delegating responsibilities to staff. Tryon did an overall good job paying attention detail, and the BDA operation did not suffer as a result of his leadership.

MBDO Bonanno has showcased limited levels of flexibility in comparison to her peers. Correctly, MBDO Bonanno is part of the SNA Scheduling Committee, which speaks well on her behalf. However, based on my written and verbal communications, being a part of the SNA Scheduling Committee does not fully meet the requirements of being a flexible leader. Additionally, MBDO Bonanno will need to take more ownership of her performance to be rendered a candidate for SBDO. Currently, LBDO Bonanno’s candidacy for SBDO is not warranted based her performance, and lack of support among her peers and the screening operation.…

I have the tendency to not have enough confidence in myself to make decisions without a lot of input from others and permission seeking. My mentor used to be my boss and he told me that while I was ultimately one of his best program directors he had ever supervised; my journey to the directorship was exhausting and sometimes a bit frustrating for him. He stated that I would ask questions about every minute detail because I seemed to fear making a mistake. He said that for me to become a leader I need to believe in myself, have confidence that I am capable and I do know what I am doing. He told me that until I learn to trust myself, I am going to have a difficult time getting others to trust me as a leader. He also told me that I have the capacity to become a transformational leader, which is my goal, but I have to let go of the fear, and allow myself to make mistakes. According to him, mistakes teach valuable lessons, and the way I react to the mistake builds…

Clearly leadership skills are required and are important because the leader is the one who has the most responsibility, he is the one who gives the tasks out to his fellow team members and should help them if they struggle in a task. A person who has a good leadership is the one who can get tasks done in different ways, he is one who can change rules in order to do better, and another sign of a good leadership can also get his fellow team members to complete their objectives in new and innovative ways, and another sign of good leadership is that the leader can inspire and motivate others to work hard and do new things in different.…

Back in October of 2013, I toke this class and received a C+ now I’m taking it again, in 2013 under different circumstance I wasn’t prepared for this class, but this time around things are a little different. Now I am supposed to do a research depicting how different leadership theories apply to your chosen school setting. Things haven’t changed I’m choosing my school to write about while taking the course studies. Edith Robinson Christian Academy (ERCA) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a unique private school. (ERCA) proudly uses the slogan, “Love lives here.” In the simplest of terms, this is what Edith Robinson Christian Academy offers the at-risk-youth of Fort Lauderdale, Florida—children, teens, and young adults who may not often hear that they are valued, believed in, and loved. Driven by a philosophy that you can never give up on a child, Edith Robinson Christian Academy staff actively seeks out youth who have been thrown out of school, are unable to reach their full potential in a traditional school or are barred from other programs. This passionate organization helps them change their lives—and realize their full potential. I’m currently the owner but in 2013 I was the owner, Principal, teacher, cafeteria (cook), transportation, etc. whatever it took believe me I did it. Well this school year I have a staff; Principal, five teacher, two cafeteria worker, one security, two transportation driver, and myself the Director of Schools. The grade levels we deal with are from K though 12. In 2013 I we had to pick a leadership theory that best fits your program. I’m to pick a minimum of three different leadership article from Grand Canyon University elibrary. So this time around my position at the school hasn’t change, but I’m more so the true leader here and I have to have my staff understand the direction or vision I have for the…

A leader is someone who has the ability to influence followers that have the same determination and outcomes for change as they do. Not all leaders are famous people, or people in high positions of power. There are leaders all around us. They are just ones that possess leadership qualities that not all people have. This does not mean though that they are born leaders. This also doesn’t mean that all leaders are good leaders. They can also harm society, like Hitler. People build their leadership qualities through life experiences.…

When it comes to leadership styles, I feel that bringing a new perspective best fits with my strengths, character, personality, and skills (Kirst-Ashman & Hull, slide 3, 2015). While employing communication skills may be an obvious leadership style, I work hard to bring a fresh perspective to whatever project I am doing. Take my previous example, what enabled me to succeed was not communication, but rather demonstrating a different perspective. The GED® program at the library was just getting started and had some struggles, I was brought on to help provide a different perspective as to what issues existed. I have the ability to monitor what needs to be said when the situation permits and with the woman in charge, this was a necessity. She has…

Characteristics of extraversion or surgency include being an outgoing and social person, having high energy and seeking the company of others. As we can see my low score in the online test reflects that I lack all the above characteristics of extraversion in me and I fall into the category of introverts. Introverts are usually characterized by quietness, reserved nature, and lack of social exuberance and I feel I possess all these qualities. I am not a very social person when it comes to people whom I have just met. I need time to get acquainted with them and once I do that, I am much more comfortable interacting with them. With my group of close friends, I do find most characteristics of extraversion in me, but these characteristics do not emerge in other situations. Also I never have been the life of a party or any other social gathering, but I do make rare attempts to be involved and enhance the team dynamics. Also historically, in a social gathering, I have not been comfortable when the attention is on me, but this is something that I have been able to overcome to a certain degree, though there is a lot of scope for improvement.…
