Fire On Ice Dance-Personal Narrative
The music pounded, it was so loud, i could barely hear Angel, my best friend, ask me if I had seen Cole, her boyfriend at the time.
“No clue” I nearly shouted back. She really didn’t care where he was considering it was the sophomore Fire on Ice dance, so he couldn’t get into too much trouble and she was having fun. As we danced and sang along, multiple friends drifted between us and their groups. Eventually our friend Lilly found us. Lilly motioned us closer so we could hear, I had to bend down a bit so I was on the same level as the conversation.“You guys look great!” she shrieked as she pulled us into a brief hug. We responded with our thanks and dittos.
“Guys, this is Alex.”
I looked behind her shoulder. In the dark room and the shadows

The focus of the short story “Dancer” by Vickie Sears is the positive progression of the main character, Clarissa, a foster child who gains a sense of her cultural identity as a Native. In the beginning of the story, she is introduced as a child with next to nothing and is portrayed to have psychopathic traits. Towards the end of the story, there are positive changes in her character. The main factor that led to Clarissa’s progression was her developing a strong interest in the powwow that led her to gain a sense of being a part of a family, knowledge about the community, and a better understanding of her history and culture.…

Suddenly, and idea struck him. "You're a dancer, right? I think I saw you at a shoot." Alfie asked as his eyes lit up like saucers. She smiled and nodded, looking down at her legs, "Yeah, I take at Seattle Elite. Why do you ask?" He grinned. "Well, I've learned that dancers make for great photos. Maybe for my side of the project, I could get some pictures of you dancing? I mean, if you want to. It's not a big deal if you do't." Alfie suggested, tiptoeing lightly around the subject. "No, yeah. That sounds great. Um, I have a little studio set up at my place if you want to come over tomorrow and get in some shots?" She replied, the same smile from earlier still gracing her perfect face. "Fantastic." Alfie said, grinning. As always, the villainous bell shook them both from their little photography…

They called the team name from the front of the judge booth. “Seymour Tigers, you may take the mat!” The nerves were rushing through all of us. The adrenaline kicked in and we got on the mat cheering and yelling variations of “Go Seymour!” or “We got this girls!” I know who said “We got this.”. It was Emily, who in the beginning was across from me; she gave me a nod and mouthed “Good Luck”. Other girls on the team gave each other the same look of reassurance too. Suddenly, the arena that had been filled with noise was now silent as a grave, waiting for us to move. Waiting for the music to start. I hear the music and we begin. Stunts hit, and tumbling hits as well. During our cheer chants, I yelled as loud as my voice my voice could go. We were almost done with the routine. All we needed was the dance, which was my favorite part. At the end, we gave the largest smiles to the point where I thought my…

At the age of 2, I was signed up for ballet lessons. Once a week, I would travel to my town’s small, run-down studio to dance for a half and hour. Caitlin, my sister, was in the same class with me even though she was 2 years my elder.…

I was always one of those kids that never felt comfortable doing any sport. So when I found out that I had a talent for dancing, I was overjoyed. I started dance during my 5th grade year of school. I immediately fell in love with the sport. I was obsessed with it. I worked very hard my 6th grade year to be able to join my dance academy’s company, and I had finally made it into the company, when things went south. One day, during my musical theatre class I was doing a combo that my teacher, Jessica Childs, had given my class. When my best friend Lauren and I were doing the combo I knew something wasn’t right. My right leg had a twinging pain, and when I did the grande botama at the end of the combo, I knew I had pushed myself too far. Over the next year and a half, I would go through the long search to find a way to heal whatever was wrong. It was an experience that I’ll never forget.…
