The biggest issue has been the competitor of Apple Inc., Google, and other software companies. Staying in competition in a world where technology is advancing quickly can be difficult. IBM (International Business Machines) was also an issue causing Bill Gates to look over his shoulder and ensure no competitor came close to his company, as IBM created their own operating system, Bill Gates developed Windows software, refining the operation and intensifying its uses (Gates, 2013). Thomas Edison hired Nikola Tesla as an outside source to implement the idea. Stage three investigating the problem, it was failure for over 50 years and Edison found the problem to the solution. Stage four Thomas Edison changed the world forever by creating the light bulb and the company today known as General Electric (Edison, 2013). Bill Gates and Thomas Edison both relate on an invention that changed mankind worldwide, making life easier for people.
