IV. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

• How can extracurricular activities help develop the skills of hospitality students? • How important is extracurricular activities to hospitality students? • Does extracurricular activities significant in the learning process of the students?

V. OBJECTIVES: • To develop hospitality students skills and knowledge. • To develop their confidence and improve their socialization and communication skills. • To expose hospitality students in the industry they are into.

VI. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Extracurricular activities are those sponsored by and usually held at school but that are not part of the standard academic curriculum. They afford a student an opportunity to practice social skills and to experiment in activities that may represent a career interest. Eligibility, requirements and costs are established by educational boards and organizations, which vary by local area. Extracurricular activities can empower students to make their own decisions and help them gain vital experience and skills to lead them on the path to their future. Students involved in extracurricular activities are more likely to become leaders, more willing to complete tasks, more willing to voice opinions. Extracurricular activities are also a good way to explore social, political, and career interests. This kind of activity will also help the students to practice what they have learned inside the school especially to the hospitality students. Extracurricular activity could be a sport, writings, cultural, sing and dance, popularity, and skills.
