I have used a descriptive decision tree to analyze your situation. Using a decision tree to evaluate and depict your issue allowed me to weigh the different possible outcomes with their associated consequences and probabilities. There are three separate attachments I will be referring to throughout the discussion of my results. I used the probabilities given in your memorandum with the various costs associated with each option and calculated the expected monetary value (EMV) for each alternative. The expected monetary value is the estimated probabilistic value for each option. An EMV allows you to gage the expected costs and/or profits you will be facing regarding each option. Given that we are trying to reduce your costs as much as possible, the lowest EMV is the most desirable option.…

    1. What are some current issues facing Poland? What is the climate for doing business in Poland today? The climate is much better than in previous years. The country isn 't an industrial country, so MNCs haven 't invested in the country in the past. It is also a newer country to invest in, so the strategic planning and implementation needs to be careful to carry out entry and ownership strategies so the government can 't change and take over the investments the MNCs have made in Poland…

A multidomestic company (MDC) is an organization with multicountry affiliates, each of which formulates its own business strategy based on perceived market differences. Multidomestic companies, in contrast, have been defined as a kind of holding company with a number of overseas operations, each of which is left to adapt its products and marketing strategy to what local managers perceive to be unique aspects of their individual markets. In addition, multidomestic companies focus on the differences, not similarities, among markets. A global company (GC) is an organization that attempts to standardize and integrate operations worldwide in most or all functional areas. In addition, global companies have global vision and they maintain a presence in key markets around the world. They also look for similarities, not difference, among markets. An international comapny (IC) is a global or multidomestic company.…

In what kind of industries does a localization strategy make sense? When does a global standardization strategy make most sense? The industry that localization strategy would make sense would be the automotive industry, manufacturing factories, and I want to stay the big chain grocery stores. By these firms customizing the products they offer to local demand, the firm increases the value of that product in the local market. But on the downside, it involves some duplication of functions. The strategy may make sense, however, if the added value associated with local customization supports higher pricing, which enables the firm to recoup its higher costs, or if it leads to substantially greater local demand, enabling the firm to reduce costs through the attainment of some scale economies in the local market. When global standardization strategy make most sense is when the firm try not to customize their product offering and marketing strategy to local conditions because customization involves shorter production runs and the duplication of functions, which tends to raise costs. Instead, they should prefer to market a standardized product worldwide so that they can reap the maximum benefits from economies of scale and learning effects.…
