Exemplification Essay: Travis Young's Life
Travis Young is calling his father to come and eat, Ruth Young, Travis' mother told him to sit down and eat his breakfast. Later Travis asked is the check was coming tommorrow, his mother didn't want him to think about money she told him to finish up. Travis explained why he was asking, he told her that this was the morning that he was supposed to bring fifty cents to school. His mother replied with an attitude she told him she did'nt have fifty cents, but Travis then replied with saying his teacher said they must, but his mother didn't care what the teacher said. Ruth just wanted Travis to eat his breakfast. Travis asked if she thought grandmama would have it. That made Ruth mad, she told him no and to stop asking grandmama for money. Travis really wanted that fifty cents because later he asked if he could carry some groceries at the supermarket after school for some money. His mother did not want to hear what he had to say, she told him to go make his bed. She trys to fix his hair and tells him to get wellfare and milk money also to not spend a penny on a cap. Travis asked again if he could carry groceries, she told him to just leave before he was late for school. Then Walter Young walks in, Ruths' Husband. He heard all the arguing and asked what he wanted so badly. Ruth told him he wanted carry groceries after school, Walter insisted for him to go, Travis then jumps in to the conversation and says that he has to go because she didn't want to give him fifty cents.
