When social networking becomes a topic of discussion, everyone sees it as a web based interaction between human beings in order to stay in contact. However, many are not aware that social networks actually operates on different levels. (Nanda, n.d.) outlines, quite some time ago, when there were limited means of communication, social networking happens at functions where friends and family get together under one roof. Social networking has always been common but as for now, the way it is conducted has changed.
In this globalization era, social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, Orkut and Twitter are being utilized just for any purpose especially in multi level marketing, meeting new individuals and building virtual relationships, conducting and online business, sharing news, also maintaining a relationship that are beyond proximity and making the world a smaller place as days goes by and finally evolves in between just the four walls (Diana, 2012). The social network sites have emerged as a powerful and effective means for people to not only link and get linked but to use these services as effectively as possible. As we are concern, every act has a consequence that follows up. Thus, using the social media recently has raised ethical issues that bothers the society and causing inconvenience.
Based on an article by Vorzimer (2012), one of the many ethical dilemmas has a large connection with the public relations, client contacts on social networks. As we are concern, keeping in contact with a client is absolutely required in this field. Yet, does it have to go to an extend where you have to approve a friend request from or send a friend invitation to your client on Facebook?
