Equality
(1) Imagine a lifestyle of being told playing a particular sport is unacceptable. Well that's nothing place yourself in ones shoes who was told what he/she can wear and how the clothes must be worn. Take for instance a government power that monitored how many children you were allowed per family. If the gender of your child is looked down upon society. The concept of equality can be exampled in; Race, Gender, Politics, and what some colleges do to make them look good.
(2) When Americans say "We are created equal", we mean that were given the same rights
(until broken), and equal opportunity. To have the same rights and opptunity as every body else is one main reason people move to America. To have the equal rights, equal chance to succeed, and the equal opportunity to have a family and career. In other areas of the world they dont have equaltiy is something people dont believe in. Humans still have to abide by rules created hundreds of years ago by their anccestors and religous leaders. To say people make the same wages, that their's still not controversy over what women can and cant do, and that race still isnt an everyday problem in the United States would be false.
(3) Gender is a problem talked about in sports, and politics almost everyday. Women that play in the WNBA still don't make nearly the amount of money as NBA players. At least women get to live the dream by playing a proffesional sport; but theirs still major problems of equality that they dont recieve.
WNBA seasons are over looked, and don't get recognized as much as the NBA. You cant say the WNBA is as equal as the NBA or that they get as much recognition. Women work just as hard to become a proffesional athlete and I believe they should get treated equal by; the amount their paid, advertised and recognized, and by the chance to have more endorsments. In politics women have the opportunity to run for president and for office. Even though they get the equal opportunity to run they still get looked at differently then a man. Women are given the equal opportunity by the government but not by the American people. Hillary Clinton is a great example; When she was running she didn't get looked at as an equal candidate because she was she is a women. The people looked at her as a weak candidate and that she didn't have the power to run a country. This nation said we quit looking at gender and race differently a long time ago.
(4) Equality in colleges are a big issue. Every college doesn't want to be looked at as just having a lot of one race in other words discrimination. To say its equal would be false because so many colleges change the acceptance rates just because they want more diversity. They don't want to be looked at just accepting Native Americans, African Americans,
Asians or any other race. Parents want their children in a college that theirs more then just a couple races. Native-Americans do get more opportunity just because of their race. They can get their whole school paid for and a check every month just because of their race. We should all get the same opportunity by getting are school paid for are race. This isnt equality and this is a matter argued about everyday.
(5) To say America is a place of equality can be both true and false. Were not created looking the same, having the same athletic ability, being as smart as everyone else, or earning the same wages. We do have the same equal rights under the law (Until Broken), and have the same equal opportunity to have a career of your choice, and have the freedom to choose were to attend college or not.
It wouldnt be fun if you looked over at the next person and he looked exactly like you and talked like you. Equality has many different discriptions and is a matter talked about all the time.

“ We came equals into this world, and equals shall we go out.” Based on the Constitution, it is possible for individuals in society to achieve equality because the First, Nineteenth, Third and Thirteenth Amendments give citizens of the United States freedoms that were not originally given in the Constitution. Most of the Amendments give reasons for equality in the U.S. For Example, the First Amendment gives freedom of speech, religion, press, and the right to assemble and petition. The Constitution gives equality in the United States because they give citizens freedoms that were not originally given in the Constitution. On the other hand, people may think that the Constitution does not give equality because some of the Amendments do not sound like they give for equality, but in a way they do. The Constitution does give for equality and freedom in the United States because of the Amendments today.…

Human equality, in an ideal society, must and should be observed at all times. Equality encompasses the different facets of life from simple issues inside a household to the biggest issue like economics. For example, if one citizen enjoys the right to engage in business, it must also be true with another citizen of a particular nation. If one parent can send his child to school, another parent must also be able to do so and if an individual can allot some money for let’s say a new gadget another individual must be able to do just the same…

Equality of men and women is extremely important even in American society in recent times. It is the reason that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his life to make sure that African-Americans would have the very same rights as any other American citizen. “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal” (Declaration of Sentiments, Women’s Rights Convention, Seneca Falls, NY, 1848). To me, self-evident means that it should be understood that because God created each human being, each human being should be allowed to have the same opportunities. However, without the same unalienable rights, American citizens are not truly…

All Americans are guaranteed equal justice. They are allowed equal justice because America is a free country. Americans are inclined to freedom and with that freedom, have the ability to create infinite opportunities for themselves, which then allow them to find success, happiness, and prosperity. Americans can find these opportunities because they live in a meritocracy, and are provided with rights and freedoms that come from The Constitution of the United States of America. The Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments of the constitution, are a significant portion of rights that give Americans their freedom. Some of these rights include, the freedom of speech, religion, right to bare arms, the right to equal justice and right to own private property. They also to enjoy many other freedoms such as raising a family, traveling anywhere in the U.S., having the freedom to receive a free education, and work at any job for which a citizen can qualify. Through these freedoms Americans are able to pursue careers in anything that gratifies them, practice any religion they believe in, and being able to protect themselves from harm with the right to bare arms. This allows them the opportunity of living a life of happiness and success, all because they have the freedom to do so. Americans ability to embrace their freedom, use it for the better of the world, and to prosper in whatever they choose to pursue, is the meaning of what it means to be an American.…

People all over America and the world are consumed with watching athletes perform in their various sports. Both male and female athletes compete at such incredible levels that require physical talent and drive. Professional athletes are known to get paid salaries that reflect their talent and abilities. Regardless of gender, professional athletes are drafted to receive professional pay. However, equal pay for male and female athletes with the same credentials does not occur today. There is a belief that male athletes are worth more than female athletes and are better at promoting themselves. Also, women salaries are lower because of their gender and are not based on their performance. Although audiences seem more excited watching men sports, this does not mean men should get paid more. Men should not be paid more than female athletes who have similar talent and credentials.…

Equal opportunities is said to be that no matter where he or she comes from or who he or she is will be given the freedom and opportunity to obtain anything. It is stated in our Constitution that “all men are created equal.” Needless to say, not all people are treated equally due to their race, background, gender, or religion. Many people in today’s society are trying to find better jobs. Our current economy is like a see-saw. Previously, people could get jobs by working hard and having happiness by working their way up to a better paying position. When my older sister was in high school twenty four years ago she worked at Hardee’s. She began working as a regular employee with basic wages. Quickly, due to her diligent work, rarely calling in, and commitment she was able to move up to a higher wage. Within a year or so, she was already at a manager position where she remained there until the end of high school. It isn’t quite simple today.…

When we hear the word “America” we often think of independence, opportunity, and success. Equal opportunity can be defined as every individual granted a fair chance and should be treated the same. The opportunity should overlook religion, race, sex, ethnicity, etc. For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been studying the nature of inequality and how it’s had a negative impact on society. From the outside looking in, it seems as if America is the land of equal opportunity, however, that is not accurate. The United States is not the land of equal opportunity. People of different races have to fight daily for fair opportunities. Inequality affects the ability of people who wants to improve the standards of their lives and contribution to society.…

Equality: Equality means treating people in a way that is appropriate for their needs. For example, if someone who was in a wheelchair wanted to board the plane, it would be no good saying to then, “you have the same stairs as everybody else”. What is needed is a way of getting on the plane that will suit everybody’s needs without showing them up and treating them in a way that is worse than other people.…
