Employee Portfolio: Motivation Action Plan

Determine the motivational strategy or strategies that would likely be most appropriate for each of your three employees on basis of their individual characteristics. Indicate how you would leverage their employee evaluations to motivate each of the three employees. Describe one or more of the motivational theories and explain how the theories connect to each of your selected motivational strategies.

Michelle Ramirez Very positive asset for the company she is much centered committed to her job and her personality is balance. With her characteristics she is able to be a positive part of the team cooperative and engaged to any goal or task assign to her what make her a dependable employee. She is also able to provide positive ideas on how to achieve goals and to better the performance of the organization.

Rewards like promotions, raises and bonuses are the most accepted motivational strategy. Michelle posses a huge capability and desire to succeed. Once a manager identify these characteristics and the hunger for success you must help her reach the top of their potential setting higher goals and expectations as well as to put more responsibility on her to balance the rewards. This way both the employee and the organization benefit from each other Self-determination theory
Which proposes that people prefer to feel they have control over their actions, so anything that makes a previously enjoyed task feel more like an obligation than a freely chosen activity will undermine motivation. Self-determination theory also proposes that in addition to being driven by a need for autonomy, people seek ways to achieve competence and positive connections to others (Robbins & Judge, 2011, Chapter 7).
