Emotional Intelligence Essay
In my emotional intelligence test there were four sections. The sections were self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. The areas listed are crucial to success in all areas of out lives. The areas that I did poorly in I need to make improvements, as quickly as I possibly can. Other areas that I scored well in I could also look for ways to become better.

In the self-awareness section I came in a little short with a quite low five. (2013. http://www.maetrix.com.au/meit/eitest.html) I feel that this is more than likely accurate. I often times second guess my gut feeling and worry if the choice that I am making is the right one for me, my family, and our futures. I also feel that this is a common feeling among people. We always want what is best for everyone, but always question is what we think is best, is actually best!

In the self-management section I scored well with an eight. (2013. http://www.maetrix.com.au/meit/eitest.html) I know that things in my life must be managed well, such as, time, getting things accomplished, and so on. If I miss a deadline or if I am late to anything, it truly bothers me. I was late one time during my four years of high school due to a train stalled on the tracks. Everyday after that I drove ten minutes out of my way just to avoid those tracks and being late again.

In the social awareness section a scored well with an eight. (2013. http://www.maetrix.com.au/meit/eitest.html). I am very pleased with score/ I feel that I do like to know my social surroundings, the feelings of the ones near me, and strive to be a positive point in their day. You never ever know what someone next to you is going through. I work as a small engine mechanic and co-owner of a small tire shop in our town. We get people of all kinds, in all kinds of moods. Just asking “How can I help you?” sets some of them off. I never say anything out of the way back to them just because I do not know how their day started and

intelligence in the occupational environment. Following a brief overview of the conceptualization and measurement of EI, consideration is given to an emerging literature that promotes the assessment, training, and the individual’s utilization of emotional intelligence in the workplace.Through out, an attempt is made to bring to the reader’s attention the scant, and sometimes highly controversial, empirical evidence used to support the importance of EI in the workplace. The score for me in this area was 48/50. The score indicates that I have an understanding of the importance of valuing diversity. I exhibit behavior according to the score of being supportive and appreciative to diversity. There is a tendency sometimes to not hear people out when they do not think like I do. I do not like to engage in conversations that I perceive to be ignorant or a waste of time. This is definitely true.…

Emotional intelligence is awareness and monitoring of my emotions. Emotional intelligence includes the core components: empathy, communication, and self-awareness. Empathy is the ability for me to connect with my feelings and perspectives of others. What empathy means to me personally is genuinely understanding the other person’s perspective. Communication involves the way I speak, my tone of voice, the facial expressions I use, my eye contact, and my body language. It also involves my patterns of interacting with others and listening. What communication means to me personally is the sense of situational and contextual awareness. Self-awareness means being conscious of my own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, as well as my impact on others.…

I have really excellent self management. I feel I manage my time and keep things organized very well. For as long as I can remember I've kept a full planner of due dates, times I work, birthdays, and any other upcoming events. So as I'm sure you can guess, I was very pleased to see that I scored well on the self management portion of this self-assessment. Another thing I was happy to see on this self-assessment was that I did not score under a 40 in any category. To me, this shows I could use some help perfecting my study skills, self-awareness, responsibility, and motivation but generally, I am not to far off from being a successful student. One thing that came as a shock to me was that my highest score was discovering self-motivation. I feel I sometimes lack motivation to save money, do an assignment, or even wake up and come to class at 8am so to see this as my strongest area was quiet the surprise.…

I gave my career a six because I am still working on my career and have not fully accomplished what I want yet. I was harsh on myself and the same time very honest. My peer will give me a different rating; they would rate me higher than I rate myself. For time management, Relationships and personal life skills they would gave me a ten. For Self-Knowledge, Study Skills they would give me a nine. For Finances they would have given me an eight and career they would give a seven. The first part of self assessing me was pretty important because it was a sum of my whole lifestyle in one. Giving me an overall look on what I should change or if I should even change any of my habits. My smoking score was a perfect 10, which was not surprising at all to me. My alcohol/drug score for this was seven points because I do drink. The score for my eating and exercising habits were perfect because I do a good job when it comes to eating right and working out on a daily. My stress control score was an eight, but I do understand why. I do know that I stress to some extent. My last score was safety and the score for that was a nine. I think my life is pretty amazing if you ask me.…

As a result of reforms in the power sector many new Distribution Companies have started their operations. Apart from improving financial viability, reduction of T&D losses the distribution reforms have been identified as a key area in terms for fulfilling consumers‘ expectations in terms of service delivery in the area of Reliability and Quality of power supply. Reliability and Quality of power supply were rarely an issue till recent past and little or no attention was paid to these aspects of power supply. If consumers‘ expectations are not fulfilled in respect of Reliability and Quality of power supply there is resentment and they are reluctant to pay for the service. On the other hand if the expectations are met or surpassed the consumers are satisfied and willingness to pay increases by sharing the tariff hike. This in turn helps to tone up the financial viability of the DISCOMs (Distribution Companies). Reliability has to do with continuous and uninterrupted power supply i.e. total loss of voltage. Reliability does not cover voltage sags, swells, impulses or harmonics. Reliability indices typically consider such aspects as –     Number of consumers Connected load Duration of the interruptions measured Quantum of power interrupted and…
