I am responsible for my caseload of learners; their progress, learning and achievement of the qualification. I must cater each programme to suit the needs of the individual learner, I do this by setting each new starter off on initial assessments so that I can see what level they are currently at which will help me decide which course is the most suitable and which approach will be the most beneficial for the learner. I am also responsible for creating strong professional relationships with the learners new employers and maintaining relationships with existing employers this is for two reasons so they would recommend us to other employers so we gain a good reputation and so that they will want to use Lifeskills as a training provider for all of their staff and will not use a different organisation as it is a competitive market. I also advertise vacancies for our employers who have had good experiences in the past with apprentices and would like to recruit a new one. I agree with the employer all of the details to go on to the advert and interview all of the candidates and trial period the suitable ones for a week before sending them to the employer themselves to interview and then make the final decision.…

I have been part of Barrington High School’s track team for all three of my high school years and I intend on being on it again next year. As a varsity member for the duration of my track career, I have had the opportunity to be a leader on my team through positive energy and hard work. By working hard and continuing to have a positive attitude in both meets and practices I have been able to lead by example and have a positive impact on our track program. Other than my leadership role within track, I have been a leader by volunteering in my schools “broncos committed” program. Through this program, I have been able to attend middle school events, encouraging up and coming freshman to live a drug and alcohol free lifestyle once they enter high school. Being a leader is something that is important to me because I can make a difference by setting a good example for the people on my gymnastics and track teams as well as the other people in my…

Along with administering health care, my main goal for working in this setting is to be a positive influence in students’ lives and give back to the community by making the athletes that I serve into leaders. Being a leader and equipping others with the ability to become leaders is a passion of mine. What many people fail to notice is that this is a crucial time for many students as they attempt to grow into adults and not all coaches and athletic trainers seize the moment to support them along their journey. I want to be able to make an impact on students’ lives and change their…

Leadership comes from the ability to make the wrong call, and athletes know this. We have all had to make a decision with no right choice, and sometimes we carry out the task and don’t get the result we have been trying to find, this causes us to be stronger and except we did all we can do. The athletes that can be leaders will be able to be more efficient in so many different aspects of life. Athletics create a sense of discipline that our generation is much in need of, and the more disciplined we become the better the world will turn out to be. Living in a world where our attention spans are shrinking and we are not able to adapt very well, the commitment we achieve through athletics can save us. Commitment is a combination of determination through discipline and knowing somebody relies on you. Athletics will teach the younger generation to withstand more difficult tasks. Athletes can be stronger people able to accomplish more without being broken down so easily, and that is why we need to start preswaying kids to join athletics, not be afraid of them, because in reality there’s nothing to be afraid of, the risk is greater outside of…
