Eco 561 Week 2 Industry Analysis Of Starbucks
The products that Starbucks sell range from coffee, handcrafted beverages, merchandise, and fresh food. Unlike traditional stores, Starbucks sells their beverage items in short, tall, grande, venti, and trenta. Not all drinks are available in all sizes. For instance, the short is used for hot drinks, and the trenta is used for iced drinks. They also sever a varity of fresh items like oatmeal, wraps, fruit, yogurt, and sandwiches. If you have never tried the reduced-fat turkey and bacon sandwich, you are missing out. They also offer cups, mugs, tumblers, coffee makers, and equipment (Starbucks, 2015).

The price of the products can range from $1.00 to $6.00 for coffee, depending on what you get. Of course, the regular black coffee is the lowest price and as you go into the speciality coffees, the price increases. The food and merchandise also have a wide range of prices depending on the items you purchase (Starbucks, 2015). The promise that they offer is that you will get high quality. The target market at Starbucks ranges in our town from High School kids to the professional. The prices may seem a bit high for some, but the quality is far above some other places. Starbucks offers tumblers that keep hot things hot and cold things cold. They have some of the best tumblers on the market.

They also offer a few things online like the rewards program/ If you have a card and register it at Starbucks.com, you can earn rewards to free items. You also get a free drink on your birthday. They also offer the Starbucks Idea, where you as a customer can tell them what you thing or want (Starbucks, 2015).
