Early College Personal Statement
Through UA Early College, I believe the program can help me accomplish my goals of expanding my studies for my majors, prepare me for when I become a full time college student, and uplift my chances of being accepted into college after I graduate high school. The classes that UA Early College offers will benefit me to obtain the information I need to earn the degree for my majors. For instance, the principles of biology 1 and 2, general chemistry, and general physics 1 and 2 are all in which the courses that are required to aid my studies in health science to apply in the work force of dentistry. Also other courses that relates to fine arts would as well assist me for my other major in art so that I may one day be qualified to be an art director. …show more content…
Since my freshman year, I have been in the Lady Mountie Soccer team and since my sophomore year I have been in the Shades Valley Color Guard. While still being in those sports activities, I also take part in other organizations like the National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society, and at same time taking AP classes. From being in all of these activities and classes, I have learned to be excellent at time scheduling with homework, soccer and color guard practices, and meetings. Although it may be challenging to keep track of time while taking more classes with UA Early College, I am still willing to proceed with the program because I know that there will be help from UA Early College peer coaches, and learning communities coordinator. Also I regularly finish all of my work that my AP classes gives me, and I dedicate myself to my other extracurricular activities. Therefore, I have no doubt that I would be successful as a UA Early College student because I know how to leave space for my studies, I am an eligible student, and I can commit to learning at a UA Early

We focus on helping our students not only to earn up to 60 college credits while in high school, but to also develop those skill sets that are going to make them successful college students. We ensure that our students understand that a college degree is accessible, affordable, and attainable. We do this by starting the college awareness process in our 6-8 grades and build on that momentum in grades 9-12. Students are dual enrolled and start taking their first college course in the 9th grade and start to come the CCNY’s campus in…

The most significant educational opportunity that I have taken advantage of is my decision to seek out and attend an early college high school. This decision presented barriers of its own––a fifty minute commute, an unconventional schedule, an advanced workload, and a lack of traditional high school sports and events––but my devotion to a better education led me to overcome these barriers. This devotion to a better education within the high school setting is the same reason that I am interested in the UC system. The high school that I decided to attend is what is known as an early college high school. Students are concurrently enrolled in both high school courses and college courses while still in high school. This type of education opportunity…

During my first year at Florida State University I plan to grow as an individual. To achieve this is not only important to fill in your head with loads of knowledge, but also to see other cultures, meet new people, discover myself, discover my weaker and/or stronger points, and squeeze my stronger abilities at my maximum to achieve my goals. I plan to help others as much as I’ve been doing until now, or even more. I believe in creating a better atmosphere where peers help each other in whatever they need. I’ve been lucky spent almost sixteen years of my life in a school where they taught me to excel by working as a team. With college though also comes a lot of responsibility. It comes in the form school work. The work load in college can force you to stay up late into the night typing papers and studying for test. As a high school senior I sat in my room trying to decide my future in a day among dozens of college pamphlets. Somewhere at the bottom of all of those brochures was one for Motlow State Community College. Not only was it at the bottom of my pile, but it was completely outside of my radar at the time. Now, so many months later, I am sitting in a room on the Motlow campus typing this. I never once imagined myself here. Nevertheless, attending this school and joining the honors program was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Going on outings with other members of the honors program allowed me to get to know my peers, and in turn allowed me to become more confident in both my verbal and social skills. This will impact my future tremendously…
