Dunkin Donuts Vs Starbucks Research Paper
I chose to conduct my field research on Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks are more or less similar in the fact that they are both known for selling coffee along with other products. They both offer various types of coffee, iced and hot drinks, sandwiches, other food products available, and miscellaneous merchandise. Starbucks is more on the expensive side compared to Dunkin Donuts. Furthermore, Dunkin Donuts cup sizing is larger than Starbucks; in that at Dunkin Donuts the cup gives the customer more to drink for a lower price. It also appears that the Starbucks menu is more complex than that at Dunkin Donuts

Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks both had a modern décor, but were styled differently. Starbucks has more of the hipster atmosphere with young millennia’s mostly occupying the space with a few older professionals mixed in. The individuals in Starbucks kept to themselves while keeping busy on their devices whether it was online with their phones or at tables on working away on their laptops. Starbucks looks to attract the middle-upper classes. Starbucks customers are mostly business professionals that work at desk jobs, and dress in business casual attire or suits. The essence of Dunkin Donuts is that it serves anyone, the average Joe that is on the run to work or a mom with a busy day ahead that is attempting to be cost efficient. Dunkin Donuts looks to appeal to the working and middle class. Dunkin Donuts customers are working class construction workers, teachers, municipal service workers, and families. Dunkin Donuts consumers dress is mostly comfortable and casual along with those in work clothes or uniforms.
