DRESS FOR WORK SUCCESS: A BUSINESS CASUAL DRESS CODE * Your Company's objective in establishing a business casual dress code, is to allow our employees to work comfortably in the workplace. Yet, we still need our employees to project a professional image for our customers, potential employees, and community visitors. Business casual dress is the standard for this dress code. * Because all casual clothing is not suitable for the office, these guidelines will help you determine what is appropriate to wear to work. Clothing that works well for the beach, yard work, dance clubs, exercise sessions, and sports contests may not be appropriate for a professional appearance at work.

A Business Casual Dress Code * Even in a business casual work environment, clothing should be pressed and never wrinkled. Torn, dirty, or frayed clothing is unacceptable. All seams must be finished. Any clothing that has words, terms, or pictures that may be offensive to other employees is unacceptable. Clothing that has the company logo is encouraged. Sports team, university, and fashion brand names on clothing are generally acceptable. * Certain days can be declared dress down days, generally Fridays and holidays. On these days, jeans and other more casual clothing, although never clothing potentially offensive to others, are allowed. * Clothing that reveals too much cleavage, your back, your chest, your feet, your stomach or your underwear is not appropriate for a place of business, even in a business casual setting.

Guide to Business Casual Dressing for Work * Slacks, Pants, and Suit Pants * Slacks that are similar to Dockers and other makers of cotton or synthetic material pants, wool pants, flannel pants, dressy capris, and nice looking dress synthetic pants are acceptable. Inappropriate slacks or pants include jeans, sweatpants, exercise pants, Bermuda shorts, short shorts, shorts, bib overalls, leggings, and any

First off, the look policy at Hollister is very strict. Each season the company sends out a stylebook on what things we are aloud to purchases. Not only is there a very small variety to pick from, we have to be checked out by our mangers and if they don’t like the outfit I picked out then I’m not aloud to buy them. The clothes I where is just part of it. I am only aloud to wear Hollister brown or navy blue flip-flops, no nail polish, no make up, and no jewelry. On the other hand, at Bath and Body Works the dress code is laid back. We can express ourselves without being told that I have to look a certain way to work there. The dress code consists of any white shirt of choice, any jeans or khakis, any shoes, and the apron of the season. I’m able to wear make up, nail polish, etc.…

Business dress code in Egypt tends to be conservative, especially to women: Skirts should always at least cover the knee. Blouses, shirts and dresses should feature a high neckline and sleeves that reach to the elbow. Men, shorts or sandals are totally unacceptable in the business world. Also, it is preferable that you wear long-sleeved shirts. If you have trouble getting used to the heat, rest assured that air-conditioning is very common in Cairo’s…

The purpose of the dress code is to have a better understanding that students do not come here to show off their style, but to come here to learn and get a better education. Students fail to realize the difference between dressing for success and dressing to impress. Dress code is nothing new to our society; many jobs require you to wear certain types of clothing or a uniform. Therefore, these schools are simply preparing their students to have a successful and bright future. Students should be more concerned about what they can learn, not what they can or cannot wear. Education is what motivates student’s people to the top of the platform their wardrobe. “Be careless in your dress if you will, but keep a tidy soul (Twain)”. Students should beware, their future will not depend on…

As a behavioral health rehabilitation specialist I have found that I dress very comfortably because my clients and I are continuously doing activities that require a lot of activities or crafts as it allows me to mingle with the children. I wear a Polo that represents my name and title so that I am not seen as an average adult with a bunch of children. I keep a strong and fun attitude but always professional. When the time comes and I have an office of my own, I will always carry myself with professionalism however I am not sure of the attire yet as I remember how I felt as a client walking into an office that I felt I was very beneath and walked out of feeling even more ashamed of being in the parking lot. This feeling is not how I want any of my clients to feel. I think you can be good at what you do despite what you…

And yet, they are doing the opposite, and thus, modifying or eliminating them would be most logical.…
