Draf-140 Class Analysis
Earlier today I was given the opportunity to take an early completion exam for the DRAF-140 class. I passed the exam and accepted the score I got on the test as my grade for the class. Would it still be possible for me to add a class to my schedule for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons? I am also not sure what other classes are required for the program so I am not entirely sure what class to

The media today continually promotes a specific type of “gender role” and behavior for both men and women. It influences and corrupts the minds of both men, women and especially young teens when doing so. With that said it’s definitely a big part of creating social norms as well. Think about it, there are three common different types of media: television, films, and advertisements, which are shown almost everywhere. Like I mentioned before, gender roles for an example exist only because society chooses to accept them for what they are. Viewers must be aware of what the media is trying to push on them, especially females. For example, most women when appearing with their male actors on screen constantly are portrayed in roles that are…

    A Class Divided Analysis

    • 624 Words
    • 3 Pages

In the video, A Class Divided, a third grade teacher, Jane Elliot, used eye colors to separate her class in an attempt to make them feel the way people of color feel when they are discriminated against. In the exercise all children with blue eyes were considered smarter, more fortunate, and over-all better people than the children with brown eyes. During recess, only the children with blue eyes were allowed to go on the playground equipment, and brown eyed children weren’t allowed to talk to the blue eyed children. At the end of the day the class took a test, and it turned out that the blue eyed children got better test scores. Also, many of the brown eyed children were upset, and one boy with brown eyes even punched one of his friends for…

I don’t have any questions about this class, it seems fairly straightforward and I know I’ll do well in it. As far as times that I’ll be available, I’m not quite sure. I have a job at Gordon’s, and my schedule isn’t known till a week beforehand. Also, I’m involved in theater and dance. My dance classes are on Friday’s from four to six thirty. Theater doesn’t have a set time at the moment. When they need me there to help, I go and when I’m in a show, I’ll have a schedule to go off of. I’m also in high school classes as well as another college class, so my schedule is very unpredictable. So, I suppose I am fairly concerned about that aspect of it. When I enrolled in this class, I was under the impression that I would do the class in my own time, so I don’t know how I’ll handle meeting times. I’m sure we can work something out, and I’ll try my best to fit everything in. It’s my senior year, I have to be on top of…
