Donna Alvarez Hazing

Fraternities and sororities have been involved in hazing rituals since the 1800s
(Alvarez 43+). Alvarez claims that about sixty college undergraduates have lost their lives in hazing events since 2005, and at least five of those deaths occurred in 2013 (43+). Every year students who aspire to become Greek members undergo hazing (Alvarez 43+).
