Disney World
My favorite place I can remember was when I went to Disney World for the first time. It was in February 2002 and I was eight years old. It was Christmas day when my dad and step mom came over and gave us just one gift. The gift was a picture frame and inside it was a paper with pink dotted outline and cursive writing that said “We’re going to Disney World this February.” That’s when I realized where my most favorite place would be. Walking into Disney all you can hear is the blaring music that sounds like birds singing it. There are sparkling ribbons flowing from every direction, they have ravishing reds, brilliant blues, and outrageous pinks. Mickey Mouse stands at the front gate with a magnificent smile and waving his goofy looking hand. I ran up to give him a hug because my excitement to see him was almost terrifying. While wrapping my baby-sized arms around him, he is fuzzy and smells like an abundance of different types of candy. My dad then wisped me up on his shoulders and it felt like I was on the Eiffel Tower. From being up on top of the world, I peered ahead and saw the most radiant view ever. Running down the little town like road, I had almost missed what the buildings had to show me. The buildings stood enormous and all perfectly decorated with what was in the shops. The toy store had the most mesmerizing appearance and it caught my eye right away. Glass figurines sat elegant in the old wooden window frame while the train twirled around blowing smoke around them.
Across the red cobblestone road was the bakery. The luscious smell of chocolate cakes and candy apples replenish the air. The delectable pastries were placed on different shelves. Moist chocolate cakes with dark icing and white bows on top lay across a golden tray on the middle shelf. On the same shelf are eggshell color cookies with Mickey Mouse ears. Below are the same cookie but on these ones have the same ears but were different because they have a ruby red bow

I could see the intricate designs of grapevines that had been masterfully carved into the light oak posts that held the entryway above my head. Through a miniature window on the far side of the room, I could get a slight glance of the steaming pasta noodles that had been drenched in luscious red spaghetti sauce, before the waitress guided us to our seats. I could feel anticipation building up as the waitress guided us to one of the most well placed tables in the whole restaurant. The light brown, cloth drapes that rested against the smooth brick wall of the restaurant grazed my arm as I passed under one of the exits outside. As soon as the fresh air whipped my face, the noticeable scent of fresh chocolate mousse cake assaulted my nose. I could feel the soft, plush cushioning that rested underneath my backside as I sat down to great relief. My eyes scanned my surroundings, taking in all the sights and smells that I could contain within myself without being overwhelmed. Of all the places to be right then, Charleston was the one. I had experienced the smell of chocolate, the taste of lasagna, the sound of the ocean, the sight of warm, crisp sand, and the feeling of being happy and glad for what I…

    A) The set consisted of several run-down store fronts with very dim lighting and an early 20th century London feel. The top level of the set held the barber shop near stage right, and a bedroom balcony at stage left. The bottom level housed the bakery and the basement of the bakery, which included a glowing fire oven.…

The only door of any importance however was the door directly in front, leading to a tiny room not fit for a full sized adult. Inside the room along the far wall, was a pine bunk bed with colourful blankets. Lego bricks of an assortment of colours were sprawled across the floor, creating a minefield of temperamental pain when navigating around with bare feet. The windows were far too high up to out of, but allowed rays of peach light to illuminate all four corners of the room. Diagonally from the window, along the wall hung two Christmas stockings; furry red with a bleach white trim swaying with the current of hot air. They brought a jolly atmosphere to the already exuberant…

Eventually, we came upon a very large store, that was in essence, a mountain town’s Walmart. I don’t remember what it was called now, but it was massive, slightly eclectic, and was chock full of humorous knick-knacks. The store had that old-fashioned-general-store-with-everything-under-the-sun type charm that only older buildings with hardwood floors and older themed goods have. The store was a wonderful place to find. It had all sorts of things that I found great use for, come Christmas time. The main floor was clothes. Clothes for men, women, teens, children, and even for the pets. They had something for everyone. The upstairs floor, was camping gear. From bug spray, to sleeping bags, or roasting sticks, to hammocks, this store had it all. The best is yet to come, for the downstairs portion of the store, was better, or at least more appealing than anything else above. I’ll start with the more mundane parts of it first. In the back, there was uncountable amounts of cooking we, in every color under the sun. There was three sets of shelves, if not more, of Willow Tree art work, most of which I had never seen the like before. There was also a massive section dedicated to children’s toys. I found all sorts of interesting things there, many of which were Dr. Seuss themed, none of which I got. The best out of all this, was the very front part of this basement full of intriguing things; the candy section. It was…

    Mall Of America Narrative

What I remember most is gazing up one last time at the magnificent sight Mall of America, hoping we’d be back soon. One of the greatest days i’ve ever had, happened to fall on a hot summer day, and my dad, my brother, and I had the long and exhausting drive from Wisconsin to Minnesota. The drive was a dreadful 4 and a half hours, including having to deal with my siblings the whole time. We finally arrived to Mall of America, but we faced another difficult challenge: finding a parking spot in the ginormous parking garage. We looked and looked for what seemed like years until we finally found a parking spot. We stopped at a few little gift shops and bought just a couple items. We managed to pull ourselves from the malls and gift shops, and started the exciting walk to the theme park.…

I walked in with a grin from ear to ear, and my adrenaline was running ninety miles an hour. Prince Charming was greeting everyone at the entrance. I remembered he smiled at me with his glamorous looks and suddenly my heart melted. My dad grabbed a map of the park so we would not get lost. He immediately took me to meet Cinderella. She was as beautiful as ever. Her cheeks were rosy red and her blonde hair shined in the sunlight. I then glazed over and saw two black ears pop up, I instantly knew it was Mickey Mouse. I skipped over to his presence and reluctantly made a new friend. As soon as he grabbed my hand it felt as if the world stood…

The day was happy at first, but it ended sadly. Me, my cousins and their parents, my grandparents, my family, and my aunt Emily had just come from dinner to an ice cream shop called “The Cone”. Once we’d all ordered and got our ice cream we sat down while my dad and uncle talked, my aunt Lynn told us about their family’s trip to Maine. Once all the kids finished their sweet and cold ice cream we went to the little rides to mess around. The sky was a brilliant orange and pink from the sun setting. It was beautiful. All of the reds and yellows and other colors of the rides shined like a freshly washed car. The first one I went to look at was the “Batman The Animated Series” ride. It was the grey, dull, rocky outside of the Batcave. The only colors…

Looking out the window of the airplane as we landed in Orlando, Florida, I felt anticipation, excitement, and exhaustion. It was July 2003 and we were on a family vacation to Walt Disney World. The plane had departed from Philadelphia International Airport at 8 a.m. My parents slept soundly and my younger brother and sister were so excited because like me, it was their first trip to Disney World as well, that they couldn’t even sit still on the plane. Soon, we would all be experiencing the thrill of the Magic Kingdom. My siblings could barely contain their enthusiasm as we drove in our rented Ford minivan to the hotel.…

It is of no surprise that many people have found Disneyworld to be extremely entertaining. The Magic Kingdom is divided into many areas, and one of the most prominent, the area where visitors enter as soon as they arrive is the Main Street, USA at Magic Kingdom. This street is made up of various architectural styles. The buildings on Main Street are built in such a way that they seem to be bigger than they actually are; the second story is smaller than the first, and the third smaller than the second is, giving the buildings a larger-than-life image. At the end of the Main Street is Cinderella's Castle, which is the trademark of the Magic Kingdom. The castles main tiles are made of real gold, and there is over one million pieces of glass in over 500 colors. Tourists really have to see it to appreciate its magical realm.…
