Panama City Have you ever thought about your favorite place? Where is it? What does it look like? What would you do? We’ll I have and it’s down in the beautiful in the beach of Panama City, Florida. There are many things to do and many things to see. Right in the middle of Panama City,Florida there we were just looking around at the most beautiful place ever. When we were in Florida we decided to go to Panama City, Beach. On the way there we drove past the snow like sand. When we got there the cotton ball like clouds in the bright and sunny sky, the aquamarine sea and the golden brown sand is all I saw when I walked onto the beach of Panama City. It was so beautiful. Maria, my sister Deanna, my brother Michael, my mom, and I went to set our stuff up on the beach. We took our shoes off and let the burning hot sand warm our feet. We buried Michael up to his head in the golden brown sand. Many people were swimming and surfing, we went swimming for a bit. The water was freezing cold like icicles, but felt really good at the same time. The bottom of the ocean you could feel sand crabs, and all of the shells both broken and not broken. We were having so much fun, but then it started to rain cats and dogs. So we got out of the water and grabbed our …show more content…
There was so much to do so much to see. We saw the very tall sign. The bright yellow sign had a beach ball in the center of it with the sun surrounding it. On the right side it said Pier and on the left it said Park. the letters were blue with yellow-orange surrounding it. The sidewalks were not like regular sidewalks. They had little sea creatures on it. Some of them were seahorses and rainbow fish. As we walked around Pier Park we saw many fancy restaurants. Some restaurants were just fast food places like five guys. There were some water ice and frozen yogurt places. We spent spent some of the day walking around and next was

It all started about three or four years ago when my friend or as some people may consider her as my sister invited me to go for two weeks to a beach house for the fourth of july with her family. As soon as the sun was up we hit the road for about five or six hours until we finally arrived to cayucos which in this case was next to moral bay where ¨finding dory was filmed¨. As soon as the car stopped we ran out the car and started running towards the ocean as you hear the waves smashing towards each other. Looking up you can see pelicans flying free and the warmness of the sun hugging your skin. After spending time out on the beach xitclalli and I decided that we should go inside and see our bedrooms we…

The canal was the best thing that ever happened to Panama. The Panama Canal was started under President Roosevelt and completed by his successor, William Howard Taft. The canal was built across an isthmus, a narrow body of land that connects two larger land areas, which connects North and South America. In some places in Panama the isthmus is only 50 miles across. The French started the canal in the late 1800's. They had just built the then famous Suez Canal with relative ease. The Suez Canal, unlike the Panama Canal, was a straight canal on level ground, in a relatively dry climate. The French had failed in building the Panama Canal because of the tropical climate, in which deadly tropical diseases consumed their workers, and because of the mountain range in which they could not cut through. He had planned to build the canal in the way of the Suez Canal, straight and sea level. You can see the trouble with trying to cut out that much land, through the mountain range, making it at sea level. The Americans tried their hand in the early 1900's. Three main people helped made the canal a success. Teddy Roosevelt was one of those people; he saw the military importance of a canal. He called for the cruiser, Oregon, to sail around South America from San Francisco to Cuba so it could be present in the battle at Santiago Bay. The entire journey took ten weeks. He was the driving force in getting the permission to build the canal because he realized the importance of having a "shortcut" through the isthmus, bypassing sailing around South America. A trip from San Francisco to New York via Cape Horn is 15,200 miles, but going through the isthmus is only 6,100 miles. The second person was Colonel William Gorgas, who was chosen to stamp out the deadly tropical diseases. The third was the great engineer, Colonel George Goethals, who was charged with cutting through the treacherous mountain range. Instead of cutting straight though the land, he devised…

There once was a time that I went to cabo San Lucas Mexico with my family. The reason that this trip was so special too was because I got to spend a whole week with my grandparents, aunts and uncles and most importantly my parents. When we first got we went to are rooms and put are thing down then went right down to the pool. I can still remember the way the pool look and felt because I got cut on one of the tiles in the pool. One there reasons I liked the pool so much is you could just sit there and watch the sun set. Then the next day I went fishing on the beach that was so cool casting out a fishing line and sitting there waiting with family there beaches are so beautiful and nice like the ones you see in TV commercials. I haven’t even got to the best part they have a little cruise called sunset cruise. You rode on a pirate ship and watch people fight and watch the sun go down. I was a lot like the movie call peter pan. This little cruise was so special because in a hurry and I got locked out of my room I forgot to wear shoes so I was without shoes that whole night. There is one restraints that you have to go to when you are there I mean they have unreal food. They have huge tacos filled with anything you want with beans, rice and a side salad. I can taste it now. I also remember the time I went with my grandparents to the beach after the sun went down with one of my uncles. You have experienced nothing until that happened I mean the sand nice and cold between your toes swimming in the ocean you feel so free and wild. That is why cabo San Lucas Mexico is so special to me. I have a lot of good memories there with my…

The experience that came from the multiple field trips we went on was extremely beneficial and a great life experience. Within all three field trips, we surveyed freshwater and saltwater fish and identified their species. We had two trips to the Mead Gardens and one trip to the Florida Keys. To survey the fish, we used multiple fish catching techniques. In the Mead Gardens, to catch fishes, we used two separate types of fish traps. Furthermore, in the Florida Keys, we caught fish with a gill net. We also observed and identified the fish differently in both places. In the Keys, we went snorkeling and identified fishes from memory and pictures, but in the Mead Gardens, after we caught them, we put them in a jar and identified the species. Throughout…

When one thinks of summer, it immediately comes to mind the sight of sandy beaches, amusement parks and hot sunny days. Coney Island, an extravagant vacation playground to visit especially for the summer. I have recently had an opportunity to come to such a wonderful place that the sights are still engraved in my mind. There were other attractions that I have missed out on mainly since I had only one day there. If time was not an issue, I would have definitely visited more programs that they provide. Getting there is also not a problem due to their cheap and handy subway system. One thing to be cautioned about is that it can get extremely busy on the weekends, so the best time to be there would be on the weekdays, especially if you do not want…

One morning a long time ago, my mom woke me up early. “It’s time to go,” she said. Go, go where I asked? “Today, we are moving to Florida,” she said. My big brown eyes began to fill up with hot salty tears. I don’t want to go, I said over and over again. You and your sibling are going to be moving to Florida with me. Again, I cried aloud, I don’t want to go. Who will take care of me? Where will I sleep? And what will I eat and drink? Consequently, all of my pleas for mercy to reside longer with my daddy was ignored, and apparently fell on deaf ears.…

The sand was white and the water was super clear. On the beach, people were scuba diving everywhere and my grandparents said we go if we wanted too. When we got on all our gear and got into the water, there was fish swimming around everywhere I swam. All of them were tropical fish so the fish were all different colors. The coral was sensationally close to us and so was the fish. Afterwards, my sister and I were collecting shells and paddle boarding, but we eventually potency back to the boat since we had a…

The first beach we went to was so cool, it was the coolest beach I have ever seen. There was a lot of surfers there, they were all super good at surfing. We stayed and watched them surf for a while but what we weren’t noticing was the waves. My brother and I were on the sand and since we were looking at the surfers this huge wave comes and gets us entirely wet, which technically we got wet without haven’t even gotten in the water. We went to another beach after that and I was called Baby Beach. We got there and I practically noticed why it was called Baby Beach, there was literally little kids everywhere and the water was not even deep. We still got in but it wasn’t so fun, well obviously the water went deeper but there was a rope that was to say that “the water drops when you pass this.” We had a barbecue later on that night, with the entire family and it was yummy. There is nothing better than home cooked family meals. We were all tired so we went back the hotel and it was time to lay our heads on the pillows. The next day we practically spent the entire day sightseeing again and later that night it was time to head off back to Arizona. It sucked that we had to leave but it had to happen that way. The trip back seemed like it took longer than coming to…
