She, after going through rehabilitation, was much better and able to continue on with her career. She now makes songs about her past troubles and her confidence. Demi is very open about her struggles and wants to help others who have experienced the same difficulties, despite people criticizing her. She has experienced extreme hate, but still perseveres, one person commented "I can't stand her voice. It's awful, she can't really sing." But she didn't let it affect her. She is now able to have a concert and stand up in front of hundreds of people and not even care about how people think about her because she is so self-secure and confident. I am very different from her in this way. Still going through school, there is unavoidable drama, rumors, and constant criticism put upon me. These situations constantly cause high anxiety and insecurity for me and many others, so much that it's difficult to be happy or even content with yourself. She has become happy with her body and mind, as I have yet to do. Although Demi has found her happiness, I am still on my journey to find mine. I am not as confident as I would like to be, and I do not look they way I would like to look, but I'm working on it. Just like Demi had to. She was able to find the strength to persevere through many difficult situations, and I hope that one day I'll be able to look back and say "I made it

While I often contemplate with envy the image of perfection I see in her, I have come to realize that her success story could be mine as well. She gives me an ideal to strive for. Sometimes in life something or someone can make a person feel distraught about his or self. In the beginning of song Demi’s tone of voice reveals sadness and mistrust. In verse one of “Skyscraper” Demi states “skies are crying, as she watches while catching tear drops in her hand” (lines 1-2). She describes rain as skies crying to reveal that she’s in a state of sadness as she watches it. She then sings, “Only silence as it’s ending like we never had a chance” (ll. 3-4). As a result of her statement, Demi relates to those who might be in the same situation or struggle similar to hers. It also makes her feel as if she will never have the chance to overcome her detriments. She goes on to ask the question “Do you have to make me feel like there’s nothing left of me (ll. 5-6)”. Demi Lovato is practically confessing to others how their actions make her feel worthless and unappreciated. I imagine those who are depressed, abused, and angered might feel as she did.…
