Who is Demi Lovato? An advocate, a former self- harmer/ drug user,a talented performer? Yes, she is another disney star to fall down, but she got right back up. From the day her story began in August of ‘92,she had always had a passion to perform,even through her struggles,and only then later realized she wanted to be an advocate,she wanted to be better. Here is her story,the story of where it all began. Demi Lovato was born on August 20th, 1992, in Dallas,Texas. Her dad’s name was Patrick Lovato and her Mom’s was Diana (Hart) De La Garza. Demi also has two siblings,one by the name of Dallas, and the other by the name of Madison. Dallas being five years older than Demi, and Madison being eight years younger than her. In the beginning of her life at the young age of five she said she wanted to be a professional performer. Demi had displayed this passion to perform by singing “My heart will go on” in her school talent show. She then started acting in ‘02 and ‘03 in Barney and Friends. Once getting a taste of what it felt like to be a true actor Demi moved on to act in As the Bell Rings in ‘07, then Camp Rock in ‘08,Sonney with a Chance in ‘09, and then Camp Rock: The Final Cut in ‘10. Although, in her later life Demi lost a lot of that passion, she burnt out. She left the Jonas Brothers tour midway. She left to attend rehab for a eating disorder, self harm, and drug addiction. Then in rehab she had discovered something big, she was bipolar. It all became clear then, and once she was released she made a song about being stronger,by the name of “Skyscraper.” Soon enough after all of this occured she decided to drop her show Sonney with a Chance,and to move on. First, she got a part on a short television show called, As the Bell Rings in 2007, but her role on the show ended when Lovato was cast as "Mitchie Torres" in the starring role of the Disney Channel movie, Camp Rock in 2008.
