Decision Making Process Paper
Daily we are encountered with making all different type of decisions and we are so used to it that we might not even notice it. However, there are also decisions that impact our future and we should all know the 6 stages for decision-making, they will help make the decision easier and faster. These are identifying and diagnosing the problem, generating alternative solutions, evaluating alternatives, making the choice, implementing the decision and evaluating the decision (Management, 2011). The most recent decision I had to make was to come back to school, when you are young and are making good money you think that you don’t need to stay in school. I had always known I wanted to go back into school, however I started working and earning good money. I wasn’t doing very well in school; I actually failed a class and had to pay it and that is when I stopped going to school. I didn’t want to pay more than $1000, just to go back. One day I started analyzing myself, in the company I was in and that there really wasn’t much growth in there. I was seeing that all my friends were graduating, some of them were already working on their masters and some of them were making even more money. So I knew I had a problem, I had stopped chasing my dream because I was too busy wasting my money in other things. So after a lot of thinking, over- analyzing I started making payments and came back into school. At the end, it took me a little over a year to decide what I wanted to do. I’m actually really proud of myself, because for the first time without my mom’s help I decided that going to school was the best thing I could do, and I paid the money and now I’m back into school. Learning these new stages for decision-making will probably help me to make my decisions a little bit faster. I do think that without knowing them I did came across into some of them for example I identified I had a problem, I evaluated the alternatives and I made the choice and right now

I wanted to change jobs to spend more time with my son and make our lives better. If I had used the decision-making process my decision would have been different.…

One of the most important decisions of my life was choosing to go back to school. I was 30 years old, raising two kids at the time, and the last thing in the world I wanted to do was go back to school. I had previously attended cosmetology school and received a degree in its study. I had been working as a stylist for 5 years but it just was not enough. I needed to support my family and live comfortably and working under someone else’s authority could not fulfill my goals and dreams. One dream of mine is to one day own my own salon and become a successful business owner. I knew that a cosmetology degree could not teach me the skills needed to run a business and be successful. This is when I began thinking that I should go back to school for a business management degree. There was only one thing on my mind at this time, my age, I wondered if I could handle college at this point in my life.…

Diversity in management is a major task. There are many aspects related to diversity, such as: culture, religion, and gender, just to name a few. It is important to remember that different people have different values and morals. Treating each person as an individual may be a difficult task for some managers. For managers who hire, hiring people with different backgrounds can enhance the team’s performance by introducing different perspectives and ideas. The planning process includes identifying how to integrate these ‘different’ people into the team. Ensuring the necessary resources are available to train and develop personnel based on their experience and education is a big part of organizing. Leading a team of diverse individuals can be quite interesting. Each person must be empowered and motivated to come to work and perform at his or her best. Controlling and monitoring each individual’s performance and how each person relates to others is mandatory for the team to be cohesive.…

One of the hardest decisions i have had to make and still can't decide on is what to do after high school. I don't know if i want to go back to school or go straight to work, i never thought it would be this hard to decide on what career i wanted to go into but it's been very difficult. You have to weigh all the options and see what is best for you, It's not all about the money either, you can't pick a field that you hate if you can't stand to go to work it doesn't really matter how much money you make, so you have to try and find something you like to do and pay decent, which can be harder than you think. My plan for the future is to go to work for a year after i graduate then maybe that will help me decide if i want to go back to school for…

What sets my story apart from many is that my goals never changed despite such difficult odds. Yes, I had to stop and start a few times, but my drive to succeed in terms of my education never wavered. There are a lot of people that start school, stop and then move into a career or trade, with school far from their minds. Not me. My parents dreamed of me finishing and I’ve always wanted to be a pharmacist, so our dreams intersected and the culmination is my continued path to finish college and be successful. There isn’t a roadblock big enough to block my path now; as an older and wise student with a life full of exceptional cultural, educational and life experience behind me, I am well on my way to accomplishing those same goals I set for myself so many years…

I got serious, I went to school every day, did all my work, study for every test. I notice a huge difference. My GPA went up. I was finally satisfied. The problem was I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in the future. My parents wanted me to go into the medical field, but I felt like it wasn't for me. Science wasn't my favorite subject. Then during sophomore year and especially junior year. I realized what I wanted to do as a career. I noticed that I enjoyed cooking a lot and being in the kitchen. That's what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. One day I found out I had to switch schools. The new school I'm in Has a culinary program which I was very excited about. I asked them to place me in there. On the first day of school, I saw my schedule and I was very excited. I knew this is what I enjoy doing, but I didn't know if I wanted to continue it after high school. Through this program I learned that I do. In order for me to go to culinary school, I had to do my best in school because culinary school is not affordable. Especially for my family. I have many opportunities through program to earn a scholarship. If I work hard and get good grades I'll reach my…

I started out wanting to be a doctor since I was about 5 years old. I was always in “advanced” classes all throughout grade school and into high school. I even started college with majoring in chemical engineering with the pre-med option. I was not at all interested in chemical engineering but had been told it would look better on my application into medical school if I had a harder major. By the spring I had changed my mind and my major was now early childhood education. It was such a huge change that I basically only realized I had no idea what I wanted to do. I ended taking some time off school to work and figure things out with what I wanted to be since I couldn’t keep saying I would when I grew up because it reality I was a grown up. I went to school one summer and got CLEET certified to be a security guard and never ended up actually working in that field because the interest just wasn’t there. Then two years ago I heard how easy it is to get a job if you have some kind of medical license or certificate and that you will always have a job since they are in such high demand. I then decided to go to school to be a certified nurse aide (CNA). I immediate got a job working in a nursing home after I got my CNA license and realized it was true about how easy it was to find a job. I wasn’t to fond of the atmosphere in a nursing home but I loved my job. I loved being able to help those people with tasks they weren’t able to do themselves. That’s when I decided to go to nursing…
