The Concept

The concept of the department store is alive and well, but overall sector performance is very much down to the performance of the individual major operators. Major investment in new brands and store environment will keep attracting high spending foreign visitors to the top end stores in the short term. Meanwhile the London Olympics and Diamond Jubilee should have a positive impact on the sector in 2012. Debenhams has outlets, not only in the United Kingdom but also in and around Europe, Asia and Africa. Debenhams in the UK is a well-known company, which specialize the manufacture of home furniture, Clothing and cosmetics. It was founded in 1813; this company started with small business and then expanded it into a worldwide spread company. It has outlet in all over the world including United Kingdom. They export the clothing and furniture to Europe, Asia and Africa. They are starting to expand their market in United State and it is being a mature moment.
