Doctor Robinson again declares the duke and the dauphin to be frauds and has the crowd bring the real and the fraudulent Wilks brothers to a tavern for examination. The frauds draw suspicion when they fail to produce the $6,000 from the Wilks inheritance.…

To be an effective writer, the use of pathos is extremely important. When used correctly, pathos can evoke a strong feeling of compassion and sympathy. With these feelings, an audience can relate to the subject the author is portraying. The Food Network last year created a public service announcement for starving children within the United States. The public service announcement, No Kid Hungry, does an excellent job at expressing a feeling of sympathy to it's audience.…
It is hard to blame just one person for the tragic outcome of Shakespeare’s play ‘Macbeth’. We could blame the witches but we could also blame Lady Macbeth or even Macbeth. Macbeth was with his friend (Banquo), when he met three witches that were telling him his destiny. They told him that he was next in line for the throne but they also told Banquo that his kids would take over the throne. Macbeth then realised that he deserve to become king because he was the one going to war and King Duncan didn’t deserve to have the throne (he didn’t fight with his men, he didn’t deserve to be their leader). He then took charge in the situation and did something about it. He became King through killing the people that were in his way of being king forever. His wife, Lady Macbeth took a major part in the role of killing the people and she was encouraging Macbeth to make these crimes. Throughout the play Shakespeare has used dialogue, character construction, construction of the plot and imagery to show who’s to blame for the tragic outcome of Shakespeare’s plays ‘Macbeth’.…
While reading “Bombingham” Anthony Grooms puts you in a position to feel the Burke families struggles and how they each handle these struggles individually, as well as a family. Grooms opens up the story with Walter as a soldier in the Vietnam war, attempting to show the audience the hardships in Vietnam. Walter is seeming to have trouble writing a letter to the family of a friend that has recently been killed during the war. While writing this letter, it triggers memories, and the audience is then thrown into Walters life growing up as a kid, showing the hard times of growing up as an African-American in a segregated Birmingham, Alabama.…
Cultural underpinning of a modern society is the hallmark of Hong Kong, a multi-faceted land. It is a remarkable amalgamation of East and West, a city where contrasts walk side by side. Ancient incense-filled temples neighbor stylish skyscrapers. People are never shy of using ultra-modern gadgets. Yet they cling to their traditions forcefully. Although businesspeople in Hong Kong do not require long-standing personal relationships to do business, many businesses are family- owned, so personal relationships are an integral part of the enterprise. Once you have begun to work with a Hong Kong businessperson, it is important to maintain the relationship. When you first meet, expect a fair amount of small talk. Your Hong Kong colleagues will want to get to know you well enough that they are comfortable working with you. Do not be surprised if you are asked questions that might be considered extremely personal in your home country. The Hong Kong Chinese are generally sophisticated and cosmopolitan. They are quite familiar and comfortable with people from other countries.…
