Dallas Yellow Cab Communication
I work for a transportation company called Dallas Yellow Cab. We have two offices, one in Dallas Texas and one in Fort Worth Texas. Our Organization is large and build upon a formal structure, we used a formal method of communication method. Dallas Yellow Cab has the hierarchical structure model. We have the owner on the top, one head manager and we have four middle-level managers on the bottom who have the same responsibilities, two assistant managers and four people who work in billing and cashiering department. All the problems come to the individual who works in the billing and cashiering office first, and if the problem is beyond their power it goes to the assistant manager and then the middle-level manager, after that the head administrator, and finally they will take it to the owner. I'm one of the people who works in the billing and cashiering department. I do not like this system because it creates workloads to the individual …show more content…
Coaching style is recommended for the very top personnel in an organization. With this style, the manager focuses on the personal development of his or her employees rather than what they do. Coaching style should be reserved for members the manager can trust and those who have proven their skills. Most of the teaching hospitals used this method of communication technique with their students
3. pacesetting style, a leader, sets high-performance standards for his or her followers. the pacesetting style is very effective when the employees are self-motivated and highly competent—e.g., research scientists or intensive care nurses.
4. coercive leadership style power is used inappropriately to get the desired response from employees. This technique is proven to be ineffective, and it is not recommended to use it unless it is necessary. For instance, during an emergency, the manager may not have time to answer questions from a staff member or to take an opinion so that his only option might be applying coercive leadership
