Mr. Cyrus P. Mistry
Non-Executive Director and Chairman
Mr. Mistry was appointed as a Director of Tata Motors with effect from May 29, 2012, and as Deputy Chairman of the Company with effect from November 7, 2012. Mr. Mistry took over as Chairman from Mr. Ratan N. Tata on his retirement with effect from December 28, 2012.

Mr. Mistry was earlier Managing Director of the Shapoorji Pallonji group and was also responsible for building the infrastructure development vertical in the Shapoorji Pallonji group.

Mr. Mistry is a Graduate of Civil Engineering from the Imperial College London (1990) and has an MSc in Management from the London Business School (1997). He was recently bestowed with the Alumni Achievement Award by the London Business School.
Cyrus Pallonji Mistry (born 4 July 1968) is an Irish businessman and Chairman of India's leading business conglomerate, Tata Group. He succeeded the previous chairman of the group, Ratan Tata, with effect from 28 December 2012. [2][3] He is the youngest son of Indian construction magnate Pallonji Mistry.[4] Mistry will be the sixth Chairman of the group and the second not named Tata after Sir Nowroji Saklatvala.[5]
Mistry studied at the Cathedral & John Connon School in Mumbai.[6] He graduated from the Imperial College, London with a BE in civil engineering and holds a Master of Science in management from the London Business School. He is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.[7][8]
Cyrus Mistry is the youngest son of Pallonji Mistry, an Irish-Parsi construction tycoon. Mistry's grandfather first bought shares in Tata Sons in the 1930s, a stake that, as of November 2011, stood at 18.5 percent, which is in the hands of Mistry's father, the largest single shareholder in a firm mostly controlled by trusts.[5] He has an elder brother Shapoor Mistry who is married to Behroze Sethna, the daughter of lawyer Rusi Sethna.
