Current Personal Classroom Management Plan
As professional educators we have a responsibility to practice good classroom management. It is important to have a plan to be organized. We must organize our material, time, classroom, and students so we can ensure the student practices effective learning in the classroom (GCU EDU-536 Lecture, 2013). Canter (2006) said “Teachers who master effective classroom management skills can raise the achievement of their students by a dramatic 20 percentile points”. As a teacher, if we use great classroom management skills we can better guide our students. Classroom management is key to student success. The structure of classroom management influences a students goal and achievement (Self-Brown and Mathews, 2003). It promotes a learning environment with minimal distractions and minimal student misbehavior.
Managing our classroom appropriately we can teach our material effectively and promote student engagement, achievement, and effective learning. All of these ideas should be exercised from day 1 of class; especially classroom management and student engagement. They are the two most important ideas (GCU EDU 536 Lecture, 2013). Classroom management can be observed in how a teacher acts, how a student behaves, what the classroom looks and feels like, how a teacher assists a student, how misbehavior is dealt with, and how a student is taught.

Teacher’s Presence and Conduct
- A Teacher should present her self professionally and appropriately in a school setting and outside of school also.

CURRENT PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY
- A teacher should handle student’s problems considerately and justly so the problems, such as those relating to misbehaver, can be dealt with and resolved according to law and school policy
(Code of Ethics, n.d.).
- A teacher should be able to provide her students with a meaningful learning experiences that improve student learning and achievement (LaPrade, 2011).
- The professional teacher should have a positive and active role in school, classroom, and community (Code of Ethics, n.d.). A successful teacher would be more active with her students in the school and outside school in appropriate standards.

Behavioral Goals of Students
- From day one of classes it rules and expectation should be made aware to the students to decrease the future presence of classroom disruptions. Doing this from day one allows a greater chance for a student to learn effectively and achieve what an education has to offer.
- Students are expected to understand the rules of the classroom and school and know the consequences for coming in clear violation of the rules.
- A student should make their own goals dealing with learning and classroom performance to develop a goal learning environment in the classroom (Self-Brown, 2003). This will allow the student to make decisions on their own short and long term goals. Focusing on goals encourages student motivation ( Schoenfeld, Rutherford, Gable, and Rock, 2008)
- A student should act appropriately toward their classmates and superiors like their teacher, other teachers, school staff, and members of the administrative staff.

Teacher-provided Classroom Conditions
- The Teacher should understand and respect values and traditions of the diverse cultures in the his or her classroom (Code of Ethics, n.d.). Discriminating or isolating a unfamiliar culture can lead to a student failure in you class and in education. We as teachers should be more understanding and open to all cultures and beliefs and in doing so we motivate other students to use this as an example to also understand, be open about, and learn more about the other different culture.
- The classroom should be physical organized in a manner that is not disruptive and focuses the attention to the man source of information display such as a Prometheus board. When organizing the seating arrangement of you student it is important to keep in mind not to isolate anyone. As teachers it is our responsibility to organize the seating chart in such a way to get all students involved in the class.
- A teacher should provide each student with help for their individual needs. All students learn at different rate and need different assistance. It is the teacher’s responsibility to make sure all of her or his students needs are meet.
- Only appropriate behavior between the students and their teacher should be practiced following the law and school rules.
- A teacher should follow school rules and be a roll model for her students to respect and follow the classroom rules.

Ensuring Appropriate Student Conduct
- Teachers should not only be the students teacher but also the students friend and supporter.
Being a friend we can gain a since of respect from our students which in hand encourages good behavior in the classroom.
- It is a teachers responsibility to make rules known from day one of classes. We should also be creative and maybe also have a system of rewards for individuals who show great behavior and an over all award for classroom behavior. When we reward good behavior we encourage the students to make a goal to behave in class and encourage their class mates to behave and in doing so they become successfully in gaining that classroom reward. The students will learn responsibility when we integrate this reward system in the classroom.
- A teacher should make the technique of teaching fun and creative which motivates the students to practice effective learning and becoming involved in the class.
- As teachers of this generation we should be creative in ways of integrating technology in our teaching techniques. The students of this generation are more familiar with technology and eager to learn using technology. This will motivate them to be involved in learning which leaves less time or determination to misbehave or disrupt the class.

Behavior Intervention Strategies
- When discipline misbehavior, as teachers we should discipline a student using the lowest level of discipline. This includes a verbal warning. In doing this we allow the student to realize their misbehavior and adjust.

- On day one of classes teachers should not only let their rules be know but also the consequence of breaking the rules. This will let the student know what will happen after the first or second warning. - Teachers should understand that there are different levels of misbehavior. More sever misbehaviors, like physically fighting, should not be punished by using a verbal warning. More sever misbehaviors should be punished with sever punishments like being sent to the principle.
- As teachers we should be able to identify the students who tend to misbehave in minor ways but often in one day. Verbal warning tend not to work on some students. WE as teachers should come up with creative alternative consequences for individual student.

Training Students in the Classroom Management System
- Teachers should make their expectations clear to their student. Students will turn their expectations into goals which have to be meet to be succefful.
- Teachers should integrate into their classroom a teaching technique that it best suitable for there content of teaching and for the classroom as a whole.
- Teachers should be very creative in classroom especially while teaching. It is very easy for a student to lose intreats in a subject when the technique of teaching is dull.
- Teachers should show their students how the material they are learning is used outside of the classroom. We should prove to the student that there is purpose for learning the maternal. They will be motivated to learn if they know they will use the information they have learned in the future. 6

Every classroom is comprised of a diverse combination of individuals who all contribute to the unpredictable nature and uniqueness of the class.
