Title of Speech: Cupcake Diaries
General Purpose: Informative
Specific Purpose: By presenting this speech I plan to explain how cupcakes are made, where they originated from, and different themes and decorations they may have.

INTRODUCTION:
Attention Step: We all know how wonderful and delicious cupcakes are. Now let’s have a little fun and learn more about something we all know as fun and tasty. Before we do a taste test, let’s learn a little bit about the background of these tasty treats.
Establish Need/Relevance: Once we all get to know more about cupcakes then we might appreciate more about them than just their taste and how amazingly cute and delicious they look.
Establish Speaker Credibility: There is no better way to explain the cupcake process than through personal experience. It all first began with me and my mother when I was a little girl. I have been baking cupcakes ever since.
Thesis: Have you ever wondered where cupcakes originally came from? Ever since the beginning of cupcakes people have enjoyed their delicious taste and convenience. Over the years cupcakes have progressed with new flavors, colors, decorations, and themes. They are now also being used for many different events. Cupcakes, as well as the icing, can be made with simple ingredients that are cheap and easy as well as satisfying.
Transition: First of all, cupcakes have been a tasty delight for many years. They were birthed from the original cake, and were designed to serve one person.
