Creative Writing: The Champion James Wins Again?
I stood there, gazing at all the trophies and framed news article with bold headings saying "The Champion James Wins Again!" All the trophies I won had no effect on me at all. I remember stepping in the World Championship Boxing Stadium. I remember walking towards the ring and thousands of fans screaming my name. I remember Alexander. I especially remember the last punch that hit me cold. I laid there motionless, on the floor. And at that moment, I knew that my boxing career was over.

My wife, Tiffany, has been worried for me, saying that I need to move on instead of being worrying about the past. But I can't seem to think about anything else. It was pitch dark outside. The wind howling. The old oak tree's branches scratching the window and

She held my hand so tightly, afraid of what will happen. We both walked in, Alize still holding my hand but tighter than ever. We turned on the lights and there was nothing. "Well... There is nothing here Alize." I said. "Okay" she siad as she was embarrassed. The next day, Mr. Gashin called me. "Hello?" I said. "Hi James. This is me Mr. Gashin. I wanted to inform you that there is the IWU gave you one more battle. You are also almost to the end of your last 18th contract." I sat there wondering why did he call me. "Um... Mr. Gashin, who is on the battlers list." I asked. "Great! You want to battle! Well there is Alexander-" I said "- Wait! Alexander?" I sat there, remembering the crowd, the stadium, the last punch that knocked me out. "I choose Alexander!" I demanded. "Okay then. Let me make sure and send the contract. And just lucky for you, the battle is two days away." Mr. Gashin told me. I thought to myself, this is it, time to stand up to my enemy, my opponent, my school …show more content…
My head ached with pain. The pain beats in a rhythm like a heart beat. I was so nervous. I went downstairs to the kitchen, finding a plate of food and no one was there. There was a note on the table that said "Good luck on your game! From Alize and Tiffany". I smiled. I ate my food and went to the gym. After I went to the gym, I started heading toward the Coca-Cola James Coliseum. I could see fans waving at me while I was driving towards the V.I.P. parking area. Fans were screaming of joy to see me. "Good Luck Champ!" A fan said. I walked in the stadium after changing into my boxing clothes. The crowd screaming. Cameras flashing light so bright. And Alexander on the other side. "Welcome to Coca-Cola James Stadium!" The announcer yelled. "Today, we got two champions fighting against each other. James against Alexander!" The crowd screamed louder than a lions roar. I felt nervous. This was the final moment. I can finally beat my school

You arose from where you sat when it couldn’t have been more fitting: a Tyson story was next to come upon the television. The Colts’ second home after the Robert Irsay midnight ride away from Baltimore hosted Tyson—who got sentenced to over half a decade in prison due to charges involving having raped pageant contestant Désirée Washington—in a place known as the Indiana Youth Center. Nobody who worked there called him ‘Kid Dynamite,’ ‘Iron,’ ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet,’ or even ‘champ.’ His name was six syllables, or should I say digits, long: nine two-two three-three five. Tyson, who got twenty-two million dollars for the Spinks demolition, got paid less than seventy cents daily to work in the prison’s gymnasium, providing equipment to…

explain everything to you in a minute.” said Captain Skillman. As they sat there quiet. Deputy Blake held his head down. “Are you okay?” ask Captain Skillman. “Yes I’m fine, I’m just a little tired.” said Deputy Blake. “Well, we won’t be long.” said Captain Skillman. As they sat there, three men walked in, Lieutenant Crimp, Lieutenant Nectar and Sergeant Prim. Captain Skillman stood up and shook their hands. “Now we can start.” said Captain Skillman. Then six special agents walked in. “What’s going on?” ask Deputy Corde. “Gentlemen, these are FBI agents and you five have been pretty busy, we’ve had you all under surveillance and you all have been participating in illegal activities.” said Captain Skillman. “HOLD ON, WHAT IS ALL THIS?” yelled…

My division was stationed in Normandy, France, at the time of the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944. Toward the end of August or early September, Canadian troops captured me near Dieppe.10 I was with a small group of men who were cut off from our main company and overrun by motorized Allied units. For several days we wandered around searching for our unit, until one night we strayed into a field camp of Canadian soldiers. You can well imagine the astonishment all around when we suddenly appeared in their midst. The Canadians didn’t have a guard posted. This was probably better for all because otherwise we might have exchanged gunfire. Instead, we peacefully turned over our weapons and in return received cigarettes.…

We had made it clear to each other that he would not go unavenged. We had enough passion to fight the world if we felt absolutely necessary and we went on through what seemed like a war that weekend. Through blood, sweat, and injury, we battled for that title. The championship match came in our grasps and tensions were high for the entire game since we didn't only want to win for us, but for our coach who had recently resigned. After a game full of devastating hits and elaborate set plays, we lost after an undefeated run of 5-0-0, but we fought to the death and left it all out on the field. No regret in our heads would ever go opposite the way we played in that title match because Coach Day had educated us all that no matter how exceptionally skilled at something you believe you are, you will never progress without putting your entire willpower to the task. Without passion, you fight for nothing. Passion is what will drive you through every hill and valley of your life. From that day onward, all I have done has been for a reason and I have strong-armed my way through thick and thin to be successful in my life and I plan to extend this through my entire college career and lifetime. I will at no time give up on what I believe is crucial, similar to being successful in that tournament for my…

The crowd was cheering, their hearts bounding, who was going to win? Right then Max threw a punch, August, his opponent, was struck in the head, nocked unconscious. The crowd screamed with excitement. He had done it once again, Max won the mach. Of course it wasn’t a surprise that he won; after all he had never lost. This was Max’s profession, boxing. Though his parent never understood why his dream was to beat up people, they let him do it because they love him. Since he was young, Max had always had a deep fascination to the world of boxing. Even as a toddler, he was always stronger than two boys his own age combined. All this strength led him to want to work out. He went to work out at a gym for the first time when he was only nine. Now all this strength and power made him very popular at school, and who was he to say that he didn’t love it? His parents began to worry when he started to brag about his abilities. They were concerned that he would develop, well, a big head. They tried talking to him but it seemed like no use. He would listen and agree to what they were saying but he never would really learn. Life went on that same for Max, being popular at school but not so much at home. When he graduated high school he found a real coach to help him along with his dream of being a boxer. He worked and worked and then he got it, his very first match. He fought hard and won. As he did with his next match and the next, never losing a single match. He became very well known. Once again all the fame got to his head, causing him to boast and brag. All of this eventually caused him to be very greedy and selfish, particularly with his money. Max’s parents had spent a fortune to get him to where he was. They spent so much money that they had none left. They ended up selling their house and living in their car just to get by. They asked their son for just a little money, but he refused, Max…

Time came for the district tournament. I was pretty confident but still nervous at the same time. The next day we arrived at the school where the tournament was being held. My first match didn't go so well, the other wrestler ended up beating me by one point, we never got close to pinning each other. I had a lot of time in between my next match, so I thought about what I was going to do, and I decided that I was going to do whatever it took to win. The referee called my name over the speaker and I got ready for my next match. I walked onto the mat and shook the other wrestler's hand, and the match started. A few minutes went by and I could hear all my friends shouting "go go go!" which was a great energy boost. I ended up pinning the guy in the last period. It was a great feeling when the ref raised my hand. At the end of the day I was glad that I didn't quit when…
