Flip through the magazines and you will never cease to be amazed by the enormous number of advertisements on cosmetics and slimming products.

Most people think that cosmetic surgery is the pursuit of beauty which is waste of money and socially undesirable. However it is the natural instinct of every women. In my presentation I want to argue that cosmetic surgery should be advocated in three aspects which is physical, mental and psychological.

To begin with, I would like explain why plastic surgery should be highly recommended from the physical prospective. Some surgeries improve appearance and correct physical issues. One example is the breast reduction procedure. On the cosmetic side the procedure balances the women's proportions. On the physical side, the procedure reduces back pain. It is a win-win situation. Another example is the liposuction which is an operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. The safety of the technique relates not only to the amount the tissues removed, but to the choice of patient's overall health. It is ideal for the patient to be as fit as possible after the procedure. As we all know, patients with obesity will suffer from chronic diseases such as heart attack and high blood pressure. To sum up, plastic surgery is beneficial to our health condition.

Apart from physical prospective, cosmetic surgery should also be promoted as it can maintain our mental health. Let me explain briefly, cosmetic surgery has its advantage . In facts, everyone of us has some imperfections on our bodies. For example one may have a big mole on her face; one may want to have a taller nose. Sometimes, these slight flaws may even subject us to sarcastic ridicules by the others. Though we are reluctant to admit it, we sometimes cannot but judge people by their appearances. According to the theories of perception conducted by psychologist. Social perception is the process by which we form understandings of others in our social
