Competency Checklist

Hi Lisa, thank you for your interesting post. Improving ones skill through the competency checklist is provided yearly in hospital facilities. In the hospital where I work we have mock codes exemplifying cardiac arrest or “Code Blue”. We are tested annually and in some cases randomly. It is a behavioral health unit and not a medical unit therefore cardiac codes are rare. If we fail the check list for competency then we could be test monthly until we get it right. Our last mock could we passed the checklist competency test.
