In That Was Then, This Is Now by S.E. Hinton, there are two main female characters, Angela Shepard and Cathy Carlson. They both play big parts in the book, but they are two totally different characters with barely anything in common. Bryon compares the two girls a few times throughout the book. Cathy was sweet, but she didn’t take people’s nonsense. She came from a good family with lots of siblings and loving parents. Angela was bitter, and she didn’t have a good home life or family. There can be many comparisons and contrasts made between the two. Angela and Cathy are different in many ways. Cathy was sweet, and she tried to be nice to everyone.     Clarisse McClellan and Aibileen Clark correspond with each other due to the views they change on the other characters. First of all, throughout “Fahrenheit 451” we encounter Montag widening his narrow mind and expanding the way he looks at everything.     Young men who are sent to a war learn the reality in a very harsh and brutal way. Both the stories, ‘The Red Convertible’ and ‘The Things They Carried’ portray the life of a young soldier and how he psychologically gets affected from all the things he had seen in the war.     Researching the Bible in order to help someone with their problems has been around for centuries. Biblical counseling is a practical and effective way to teach through the understanding of Scripture; that thoughts, attitudes, motives, and words flow from a sinful nature of a selfish heart. In counseling, whether Biblical or secular, the main objective should be to help the counselee with the issues they are dealing with.
