Compare and Contrast essay
People of the world all have different personalities, but some are similar in nature. Not only do your actions reveal a lot about you, but your friends reveal just as much. I know that different aspects of my personality are more dominant with certain people. Two of my best friends Steven and Shelby, are very different from each other, although the both have sparkling personalities, they are both different from one another. Shelby and I have been friends since we were nine years old. We’ve always shared our most enjoyable moments and our worst times. For instance, every time Shelby and I are together, we always have fun. We have always been able to laugh at ourselves and each other, and we always think of some new inside jokes to be able to laugh obnoxiously at while we annoy the rest of our friends around us, my boyfriend especially. We have always been able to share our silly escapades and ridiculous humor. Just sharing our stories brings back old memories of more and more of our escapades and adventures. On the other hand, when Shelby or I have a rough time, we are always there for each other. When Shelby’s Mother kicked her out, I was there for her. I gave her a place to live for free. She was very upset and I was there for her when nobody else was. Then, when my boyfriend went to Las Vegas she made sure to screw that all up. She slept with my boyfriend and just expected me to forgive her for the awful thing she did to me. But eventually I needed her I had no other female to take to about my girl issues. I was going crazy in my own head. I love this girl she is basically my sister I would bend over backwards for her if she needed me too. If I needed anyone to gossip to it would be her. If I was crying hysterically she would know exactly what I am saying when no one else could make a word out of it. Steven, on the other hand, is more of a mentor a role model. We have not been friends as long as Shelby and I, but he was always a little more serious. We always talked about things rather than going out and doing things. We could just sit in my driveway every night in his car and talk about the most random things. Steven has been there to give me advice about guys, choices I have to make, and other problems that may come up. Just as Steven has been there for me, I have been there for him as well. When Steven has something on his mind, he will talk about it with me. If he ever hesitates to talk to me, by the time I have told him he can trust me, he will begin to pour his heart out. We have had crazy adventures going around the United States just in the spur of the moment.
I regard him as a brother, because no matter how many fights or arguments we got into. We always found a way to forgive each other and make our friendship stronger. If I fucking up or doing anything wrong he would be the first person to step up and tell me, because he don’t want to see me do nothing bad or something that I am going to regret in the long run. Steven and I talk our problems out rather than to argue and fight because we both know that it gets us nowhere. As you can see, these two friends are different but both are a very important part in my life. They both play important roles and they would cause a major change in my life if our friendships were to ever end. I need these people in my life. I wouldn’t be where I am today if these people didn’t come into my life.

Although summer and winter both occur when the Earth is titled toward the sun, there are very different seasons. The first and most obvious difference between summer and winter is the weather. During the summertime the days are warm and sunny. Temperatures range from 70° and above with a slight breeze, making it enjoyable to be outside. Toward the end of summer people tend to worry about hurricanes and tornadoes. On the other hand, winter days are cold and dark. There is a constant freezing chill making temperatures drop below zero. Normally there are worries about serious snow storms and blizzards. Another noticeable difference between summer and winter consist of the types of activities people participate in during the two seasons. Summer activities tend to involve being outdoors. For example people enjoy trips to the beach, family cookouts, swimming and even long walks. The sounds of kids riding their bikes and fireworks crackling can be heard throughout the days. However, in the winter people occasionally enjoy outdoors activities like sledding, ice skating and snowboarding. Generally during the winter though, people spend most of their time participating in indoor activities like watching movies, readings books, and baking sweets. For the reason that climates are drastically different during the summer and winter, these is also a huge difference in the way a person is dressed. During the summer people dress lightly, wearing simple t-shirts, shorts, flip-flops, and bathing suits. Hats are typically worn to keep the sun out of people's faces. Since the temperatures are high there is no need for any extra clothing or layering. Unlike while in the winter time multiple layers are worn to keep warm. Everyday, stereotype is used in the society. Sometimes, when people use stereotype on other people, they don’t even recognize it because it’s so common and is ignored by the society.
