The colonial rule of the Great Britain's had a mix of negative effects and positive effects for the people being enslaved or taken over by the Great Britain’s ,and the imperialists themselves.The business interests of the British imperialists had a mixed outcome.Great Britain expanded into India,Asia,and Africa.There were three main causes that are linked to the causes and reasons os imperializing(political,social,economic).Overall,imperialism is a progressive force,and both the “oppressors”are equally effected by imperialism in both positive and negative ways.
The causes of British Imperialism were tied to economic,social,and political reasons.socially,the british believed that they were helping the people of Africa and India and were blind to the fact of how they were negatively effecting them heavily and treating them almost like animals.British imperialists viewed them as uncivilized savages and felt that they needed to bring culture and religion to the,.British imperialists put the people of Africa in a zoo type environment and basically treated them like animals.They wanted to show people that what they were doing was good and they were changing animal like people into completely civilized people.(o.i)economically,the British needed slaves or workers to produce goods to sell goods,and they also needed new consumer markets to open to sell goods which is an initial cause of imperializing into asia,india,and africa.
