INTRODUCTION
We will make a small Origami Christmas tree suitable home-made decoration or for use as ornaments. Some models may be scaled up to be table-top size and some can be made into large structures 5' or higher. However, for these very large models, the type of paper you use will be critical. The larger the paper, the heavier it is and the more likely it will collapse due to its own weight.
Christmas trees are an integral part of the holiday season, it can be hard to decide on which tree to buy and how to decorate it. Knowing how to maintain a Christmas tree is not only to important to how it looks, but also for the safety of your home.
Before you even buy a tree, pause to consider whether you want a live, cut, or an artificial Christmas tree. You have decided you don't want to deal with a living or cut tree, and an artificial tree is not for you, so what do you do? Go for an alternative tree instead of the traditional ones. The best thing is that you can bring your own creativity into play and even make one yourself from materials you have at home. Maybe the most fun part of getting a Christmas tree is decorating it. There are many different ways of decorating a tree from a very traditional green and red color scheme and traditional ornaments, to very contemporary color schemes. Since the tree is usually the anchor of most Christmas decorating, decorate it with that thought in mind. Determine a theme or color and complement that with the rest of your Christmas decor.
If you want to deck the halls with store bought Christmas decorations, it's going to cost you some money. Not to mention delicate items, like glass ornaments, require careful storage with lots of padding, which takes up more storage space. While store-bought decorations can be quite beautiful, they also pretty much look like what everyone else has.
If you want a unique look for a fraction of the cost, how about making your own Christmas decorations out of materials you probably have lying around your house? Not only will you be helping the environment, you'll have an opportunity to show your creativity and individuality through your creations. All you need is some time, a little effort and a lot of glue. Read on for our favorite Christmas decorations made from recycled materials.

    * A little background information on paper airplanes is important to understand why people started making them in the first place. Paper airplanes are believed to be from Ancient China and Japan. The idea came from the art of folding paper, or better known as, origami. This concept became popular around 500 BCE in China, and within the next decade the paper airplane became popular as well. The Wright brothers actually used paper airplanes before they designed actual planes. Paper airplanes have improved over the years and have gained a lot in terms of flight performance. I am going to include two examples of other students and people that have done research or experiments with paper airplanes. The first one is in a paper, “Physics of Paper Airplanes”. In this paper the science behind paper airplanes is discussed in detail. I learned that the thing that makes paper airplanes actually go longer and “flow” through the air for a certain amount of time is called, “lift.” As stated in the paper, “Lift can only happen when in the presence of a moving fluid and air has fluid properties.” (– Anonymous, 2011).The second example of airplane research and experiments…

During the 1900, origami grew to become an activity enjoyed by the world which pushed for new techniques to emerge such as, wet-folding and cutting into the origami sculptures. These technique were originally designed by the artists Akira Yoshizawa and Kosho Uchiyama.
