Christian Beliefs About Earth's Creation
Each age of earth holds a different belief to how some individuals believe that the universe was really created. Some believe that the earth really was created in only 6 days, some believe that the earth was created in stages and some believe that life evolved from science. Although that are all different beliefs with some similarity traits, they are all Christians beliefs in the viewing of how the earth was created.

    At first, it may appear as though there are many different explanations of how the earth came to be; however, with a closer look one can see that all explanations have the same message. Science and the Bible, often considered polar opposites, tell the same story just with different words. For instance, Genesis One and The World’s Biggest Membrane describe an ongoing process of creation. It is clear in Genesis One that God did not get it right the first time. After creating man God thinks, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (2:18-19) Immediately following this thought God forms ‘wild animals’ and ‘all the birds in the sky’, unfortunately, this attempt is unsuccessful. God has no success until he eventually creates a woman from the man, to be his helper. He goes through a process of trial and error, rather than it happening all at once.     Does faith have a legitimate link to science and the methods by which we gain knowledge and understanding? Some would be quick to reply that just as our government has placed a dividing line between churches and state that science and the Bible do not mix. But from a Christian perspective how can we say the same when we understand the foundation of all truth comes from God. In Colossians 1:16 in the Amplified Bible it reads: “For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him” (Bible Gateway, 2012). In Revelations 4:11 it reads, “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were [brought into being] and were created” (2012). If God is the created of all things, and science its methods and how we obtain knowledge and learn are a function of God’s work in us, how can we say the two are separate entities unto themselves.
