Charecteristics Of A Profession Paper
In this paper, I will be discussing what characteristics make a profession. With the characteristics defined, I will examine whether my current occupation, working in the food service industry as a Catering Coordinator for Panera Bread, is considered a profession. I will also use Maslow’s theory to determine if my job services an important need, and I will discuss the requirements someone should possess to successfully work in my field. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/profession) a profession can be defined as a calling requiring specialized knowledge and often long and intensive academic preparation. Based on that definition alone I would argue that my current occupation, as a Catering Coordinator,
