This difference has resulted to incompletion of course syllabus since venues are not always available to take courses at the due time. This problem and some more introduced in the problem statement has triggered the need for the introduction of information technology in the area of Lecture Room Allocation System. This project is intended to be used typically by lecturers who are involved in various lecturing activities and it will be majorly developed to be used within an academic environment. The lecture room allocation system is a system that allows only the people with certain privileges to enter into it, that is, the lecturers. The lecture room allocation system will be based on the original or the fixed school timetable where all the free lecture room on the timetable at a particular time is stored in a database. For example, at the beginning of each semester, the school comes up with a lecture timetable and let say the school has a total of 20 lecture room available for teaching. Then on the timetable, it is possible that the 15 out of these venues are allocated to different courses at a particular time (say Monday 8am-9am) then the remaining 5 venues are regarded as the free lecture rooms at this particular time. These venues will be stored in the database of the system. The following is a brief description of the basic way the system will operate. A lecturer noticed that the venue or lecture room that he has been allocated to is being used probably for another event other than lecturing. Instead of manually seeking
