Case Study Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo is helping military veterans transition to new careers and build their professional network with a $50,000 investment in John F. Kennedy University’s VALOR Center. The grant will fund a veteran-focused entrepreneurial program, develop a network of mentors, and promote the available resources to other veterans that might not be aware of these wonderful resources.

“While Wells Fargo has been committed to service members, veterans, and their families for more than 160 years, we remain committed to empowering service members and veterans to succeed financially through home ownership, career transition and financial education,” said Steve Hitchcock, Mount Diablo president at Wells Fargo.

The Center’s expansion also reflects a nationwide need for such services. Over the next five years, one million active and reserve members of the U.S. armed forces are expected to leave military service and return to civilian life.

“It’s important to do all we can to ease this process of transitioning to civilian life, and the expanded VALOR Center will do much to address this,” said Jared Anderson, JFK University’s Veteran Academic Advisor.
