“I don’t know how to let my husband speak when he is informing me of an issue without interrupting him”

“I want to be able to let my husband speak on his concerns without interrupting him. I want to improve our communication when we have a disagreement."
4B. Jot down some communication behaviors that you associate with your goal.
4B1. the goal would be achieved when there is a disagreement a disagreement with one another individual and they are able to resolve the issue at hand without the conversation escalating into an argument and both are able to listen to one another without interruption.

I would be able to recognize and measure my goal achievement when I am able to communicate with others in a way that I listen to the speaker and take in the information, then respond based on the information given instead of responding solely based on my thoughts.
4C. In order for me to achieve my goal of listening to the speaker when he/she is sharing information I will let them finish speaking.
In order for me to achieve my goal of responding positively when it is my turn to speak I will carefully chose my words and consider the response that was previously given by the listener.
In order for me to achieve my goal of avoiding conformation when a concern is brought to my attention by the speaker I will remain calm and open minded to the situation.
4D. I have answered "Yes" to all of the behaviors I have listed in part 4C. All of these behaviors would allow an individual to achieve the goal I described for myself.
