Executive Summary:
The idea for The Palate was a result of monthly “get-togethers” encompassed by exquisite home cooked meals, quality wine, the food network channel, and tons of laughter and happiness. As residents of the Southwest Florida area, it was obvious that Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Naples needed some social flare. Many people enjoy the southwest Florida area because of the beaches and environmental sanctuaries. However, other than going out to an ordinary restaurant, taking a walk on the beach, seeing a movie or going to a club or a bar, there isn’t a lot to do in the area. A restaurant, wine bar, and cooking class seemed like the perfect solution. In order to find out for sure, customized surveys were sent to residents and tourists in the area. The feedback was positive so the detailed planning began. Here are some general particulars regarding the accommodations, location, atmosphere, menu, cooking classes, and finances: The Palate is a 50 seat fine-dining restaurant with a 20 seat wine bar. An additional space adjacent to the restaurant includes kitchen stations able to cater to a maximum of 25 guests. The Palate will be located in the Southwest Florida area, at 26831 S Bay Dr, Bonita Springs, FL. Targeting residents from the Naples and Fort Myers area, as well as tourists visiting our wonderful beaches. 26831 South Bay Drive is a promising location for our restaurant. The location of the restaurant was decided as a result of dining at the previously existing restaurant in the past. It was an easy place to find, and a central location for many people to meet. With the locations close proximity to the water and the amount of people who pass by the area on foot or by car, it is a great location to attract customers. The residential area consists of a lot of new developments including numerous golf courses and beach condos. The Palate will be located in a shopping plaza that has a beach undertone and fun environment while maintaining a high scale quality. The space will consist of 4,324 square feet and a monthly leasing cost of $3,500 a month. The combination of these elements will provide the city with a thriving economy. The area is in need of a fun and unique place with quality food. A place where you are guaranteed great service, an addicting atmosphere, and entertainment that will add some excitement to the fine dining realm. The Palate will feature a contemporary dining room with lounge seating and an elegant bar. Furnishings, lighting and decor will be rich and cozy while maintaining a modern flare. It will be the perfect place for a fun night out with friends and family. The additional cooking classes will invite customers to add some spice to their cooking styles as well as provide the perfect setting to have fun, enjoy some entertainment, and bond with their party. The menu will be concise, but at the same time, offer a variety of dishes so everyone can find something appealing. Modifications to all of the dishes will be permitted as long as the ingredients are available. Some of the entre options include a filet, pasta, chicken, and fish. (The full...
