Q1) Danny sees himself as the devil. He believes that coincidence either brings out the god or devil in, in Danny’s case it was the devil.
Q2) Tom feels concerned for Danny as he spent half his life in prison he is wondering what it has done to him and how it’s changed him as a person.

Q2) the last line in the book “somewhere in the back of his mind, as he and Robby parted, was the picture of a rope, fraying, one strand after another coming apart”, is a demonstration of his and Lauren’s relationship. Their relationship together is slowly falling apart and falling outta love.
Chapter 4
Q1) Danny has more reason to cry then most because he has lived a sad life. His dad has gone away, he is afraid that the “big boys” are out to get him, he has constant nightmares and believes he sees Lizzie standing at the bottom of the stair case. He is alone and guilty.
Chapter 5
Q1) the rescue of Neil and toms rescue of Danny is very similar. Just a random stranger minding their own business then seeing something that triggers them to go over and help them, trying anything possible to make sure the stranger is okay and safe.

Chapter 6
Q1) according to tom people can change their ways of going about things. People can learn new skills which can possibly take over their old ones. But there is always a possibility that their old self may slip through the cracks.
Q2) Danny doesn’t want any psychotherapy from tom what he wants is to find out why it happened, and to dig up the past with him.
Chapter 7

The Brennans have been through a lot in the novel as they have to come to terms that Toms brother Daniel Brennan had caused the death of two innocent passengers who were popular throughout the community and also paralysing his cousin Fin because he made a mistake by drinking and driving which ultimately leads him to jail and is the major factor of the Brennans leaving Mumbilli due to the constant harassment by the townspeople who they once used to be very close with before the incident. The life that Tom and his family now lead is affected by the prejudice that has forced the family out of their home town Mumbilli and into Tom’s Grandmother’s house in Cogshill. a) Ever since Thomas dad left, Thomas had become the man of the house and grown up. I know this because in the beginning of the story it states that he “I left a pail of milk in the summer kitchen for Ma.” This was usually done by the man of the house because it involves heavy lifting to be done. Thomas doesn’t like that his father is back because his father is acting like he had never left and was taking over of the role of the man of the house which he was when his father was away. I know this because in the story Thomas states that “…sitting opposite of me, in the chair I’d sat in for the past four years.”…

The relationship between the two fathers and the two sons is a very important theme in this book. Because of their different backgrounds, Reb Saunders and David Malters approached raising a child from two totally different perspectives. Despite the obvious differences in the two men's beliefs, both did what they thought was right for their sons. Reb Saunders was a Hasidic tzaddik and wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. He raised Danny in silence, hoping to teach him to listen to silence, to learn compassion, and to develop a soul to go with his mind. Unless it had to do with religious studies, Reb never had an actual conversation with Danny after the age of 3. Reb wanted Danny to find things out for himself. On the other hand, Reuven's father, Mr. Malters, felt it very important that he had good and frequent communication between himself and his son. The two would sometimes talk for hours about life, different religions, friends and anything else Reuven would want to talk about. Mr. Malters wanted Reuven to be able to come to him with any questions. Danny didn't have a close relationship with his father, which explained his dependency on Reuven. Even though Reb Saunders and Mr. Malters raised their sons in totally different ways, they did it all out of love and felt that what they were doing was the right thing.…

One big thing that Huck led tom to leave his home, go to an island, and not tell anyone and stay there for awhile. Huck’s father is not a very good man, he the town drunk, which is the reason for Hucks bad behavior. Another reason Tom is a bad role model is because he always requires to be the center of attention even when it causes other people harm. This is because tom is somewhat of an only child and no one left in his own family is left to comfort him, the only two people are aunt polly and sid, but sid is a real nuisance to tom and his friends. Toms behavior also breaks out when he tries to get out of trouble and chores. He lies when it comes to chores and tricks aunt polly when he is in trouble. With the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo on February 2, 1848, the border dividing the Mexican people was formed. The Mexican border means various things to different people. To date, 600 miles of border wall has already been built. This wall would extend from California, to El Paso, to the valley. The first reason given by the government for construction of the wall was to prevent terrorist attacks, the next was to keep illegal Mexicans out, and the most current one is to combat the drug smuggling into the United States. For some Mexicans and Mexican Americans, the border poses threats, and for others, it establishes possibilities for oneself and one’s family.…
