Biography
At a young age Bobbi Brown thought the epitome of beauty was tall,blonde and exaggerated makeup- The opposite of her. After receiving a degree in theatrical makeup she went on to work for companies such as vogue and glamour.She later came up with the concept of natural beauty that was extremely risky as at that time over the top makeup was the new craze.Natural beauty was unwanted.Brown's idea was to bring attention to subtle makeup that would give the flawless finish effect.Working with a chemist in 1990, Bobbi created 10 super wearable lipstick colours: Salmon, Beige, Raisin, Brown, Rise, Pink, Orange, Blackberry, Burnt Red and Red.Bobbi Brown Essentials line of lipsticks debuts at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Exceeding her 100 lipstick a month target by selling 100 in a single day!

1993-With the beauty buzz growing in every direction, Bobbi Brown Essentials opens up its first counter at Neiman Marcus in Dallas Texas drawing more attention to the underdog of cosmetic beauty.Bobbi appears on Oprah and the Today Show and her sales sky rocket drawing even more attention to Brown's brand. Bobbi Brown Essentials goes international in 1994, debuting in Harrods in the UK(still available there today).

The following year Bobbi debuts her famous skincare line, which was designed to prepare skin for flawless makeup application, later sells her beauty empire to Estee Lauder Companies.In 1996 Bobbi authors her first book of 5-Bobbi Brown Beauty. She sells over 100,000 copies and makes the New York Times Bestseller List. Brown then goes on to launch her online website : www.bobbibrown.com.
