1. What are the common issues/cases that the barangay office encounters concerning recipients/infrastructures/business/peace and order?
One of the common problems that the barangay officials have encountered in barangay 537 is The Improper Waste Segregation especially in the streets of Sta. Clara. The proper Waste Segregation was implemented in the barangay on July 2017 where biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes are collected base from the schedule given by the barangay to the community. However, Hon. Jerwin Hong informed the interviewers that neighbor barangays are throwing their trash in barangay 537 due to the fact that the garbage arrives too early at their respective barangays.

They do not have enough budget to accomplish their yearly projects (e.g. de-clogging, beautification of the barangay, painting etc.) and lack of personnel training and experience which leads to the poor performance of some of the barangay officials.
In terms of Peace and Order, barangay 537 is peaceful and rarely encounters disturbances in the community however; there are still some isolated cases of domestic violence and domestic problems but sometimes they choose to settle it among themselves even after reporting it to the barangay. Have there been programs meant to respond to the issues/problems that succeeded? The researchers discovered that there are programs implemented which are meant to address the issues and problems that are being experienced. Some programs are as follows:
A seminar about proper waste management and segregation of trash was held this July 2017; unfortunately the citizens are not interested in the seminar which eventually leads to the failure of the program. According to Kagawad Pre (2017), some citizens of barangay 537 will only attend the seminars if there is money included or they can benefit from it but if it is not beneficial to them they will not come.
The barangay also held counseling and activities that focuses on the drug users’ rehabilitation which aims to help the drug users and addicts in bettering their lives. Kagawad Guia added that even though the citizens of barangay 537 do not attend seminars some still manage to follow the rules and regulations. They also said that their citizens are very supportive of their programs and even without seminars some citizens are well behaved and does not do anything that can ruin the barangay’s credibility and image.

    In the Barangay of Salinas 1, they belong to a first class municipality in terms of income. It is also convenient for them because SM City Bacoor is near the vicinity. The neighbourhood we entered is peaceful. I have also observed and learned that there are many town homes subdivision and there are two phases of Meralco Housing project located in this barangay.
