Dear Mr. Carter:
Pet Friendly Restaurant Policy
Our motto at IHOP is “Come Hungry, Leave Happy”. It is not just a saying but also an idea that we hope is validated with each one of our customers. We take pride in satisfying our customers and in making their dining experience with us a pleasurable one. IHOP constantly listens to each customer when it comes to implementing change in our services and restaurants.
Your suggestion of converting our facility into a pet friendly restaurant has been discussed in our most recent board meeting. The idea of allowing your pets to join you in our restaurants poses some concerns that were addressed. Sanitation concerns were at the top of our list as it relates to the pet hair and potential fleas, ticks and other diseases that our four legged friends can be carrying. In addition, we must take into consideration all of our customers needs and the fact that some may have allergies and/or be afraid of animals. While we want to improve your dining experience as well, we have to cater to the dining experience of everyone and make the best decision for the majority of our customers. Based upon these concerns, we are unable to accommodate your request to become a pet friendly facility.
However, during our board meeting, we did take some time to compose a proposal to submit to our corporate office to invest in adding an outdoor seating area at this location. If the proposal is approved, we would be able and willing to implement a pet friendly policy in this seating area.

We hope that you will continue to “Come Hungry and Leave Happy” on your future visits with us. Please use the enclosed coupon for 10% off of your next meal with us

IHOP Corp. develops franchises and operates IHOP restaurants, a well known family restaurant chain. As of December 31, 2007, there were a total of 1,344 IHOP restaurants of which 1,176 were subject to franchise agreements, 157 were subject to area license agreements and 11 were company-operated restaurants. In January 2003 IHOP constructed a “New Business Model”, in which a potential franchisee first enters into a single store development agreement or a multi-store development agreement and, upon completion of a prescribed approval procedure, is primarily responsible for the initial development and financing of the new IHOP franchised restaurant. In 2007, IHOP entered into 30 franchise development agreements. As of December 31, 2007, they had signed commitments from our franchisees to build 347 IHOP restaurants over the next several years plus options for an additional 98 restaurants.…

In order for people to find a brand memorable, the slogan representing the company should remain simple and consistent. Not only that, but restaurants such as McDonalds, what was once deemed a fast food chain, are now becoming more and more “family restaurant” oriented. This poses a problem for chains such as Swiss Chalet, because although they offer a homier sit down feel, these fast food chains offer large quantities of food for half the price.…

While the number of people owning cats and dogs in Canada has grown about one to two per cent per year, in the past few years, the Canadian pet industry has presented an average growth of 3.6% per year for several years, considering food, supplies, and services. Considering that Momentaa offers high quality and unique product, the range of competitors is narrowed compared with low cost products. However, this industry is growing fast, driven by the “premiumization and humanization” of pets over the years, leading to pet owners to spend more on their pets, buying more high-end accessories, higher quality foods, and more expensive medical treatments. ,…

The dog and cat foods are allocated under wet or dry food, and are then further segmented into three different types; “Feed Natural”, “Advanced Nutrition” and “Everyday Brands”. There is a wide range of dog and cat toys which cost between seventy-five pence, to twenty-four pounds. Pet’s at Home is licensed to sell small animals and currently sells rabbits, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, snakes, rats, chinchillas, degus, dwarf hamsters and fish. The company also provides a range of products for puppies and kittens including food and training equipment. If PAH can get a customer from the start of the pet’s life (i.e. puppy or kitchen), they have the opportunity to create a loyal customer who will potentially continue to purchase from PAH for the duration of the pet’s life. The veterinary practice is available for all general consultations, and the dog grooming parlours provide micro-chipping, hair trimming, nail clipping services from five pounds.…

    1. In-N-Out Burgers have broken all the rules and thanks to that their average per store sales eclipse those of McDonald’s. With that said, In-N-Out’s customers must really enjoy their burger in order to continue going back to the company. In-N-Out has not changed anything since day one and that is their way of keeping their customer’s well-being. As stated in the text, their philosophy till this day still remains the same; “Give customers the freshest, highest quality foods you can buy and provide them with friendly service in a sparkling clean environment.” Based on their philosophy we can see that giving their customers the best food and experience is In-N-Out’s main goal. Although Animart is already a very successful and popular pet store around the world, there is still something that I think it can be improved. I have a dog named Febe. My father bought her since I was seven years old. We always play together and have fun then. However, as I grew up and entered into junior high school, the time I can be with Febe become less and less. Nowadays, many pet owners like me have to go to school or work and hardly to be with their pets. Hence, if Animart can have a pet restaurant that pet owners can eat with their pets there, it must be really nice then. Pet restaurant provides not only pets’ food but also human’s that the whole family (include pet) can enjoy the meal together. Pet restaurant can let the owners spend more time and create more memories with their pets. Customers come to pet store to eat and interact with the staff or even become a member of the pet restaurant. In this case, pet restaurant can be related to behavioral and relations components of Schmitt theory. On the other hand, there are some limitations about pet restaurant, such as the restriction of the customer range which only attract the customers with pets.…
