Many scientists are working diligently to help us understand why we are experience such change in our climate here on earth and little get much recognition for doing so or are kept quiet by the media and the powers that be. There have been scientists and researchers in the past that have received so much recognition for doing a lot less than those who are trying to help us with credible research on how to adapt or at least prevent the heating of our planet. The argument here

This Time magazine article talks about the extremes of global warming, from the very cold winter of 2010 to the extreme heat of 2012. The article goes on to talk about how global warming is adversely affecting the people of the United States through forest fires and by living in lands that have been scorched by the continually rising temperatures. The earth has been around for billions of years and many issues in our time as a species have risen up. One matter that has come up is the issue of global warming or climate change. This conflict has been around for many years, but has started to get worse every year, since the United States and other countries have been emitting carbon dioxide into the earth’s atmosphere. Global warming is an urgent issue; moreover, there exists a controversy on whether humanity or nature is the cause, and the scientists who consider this a serious matter are entirely correct because humans are at fault.…

Global warming is, in essence, the gradual rising of temperatures in the Earth’s atmosphere. As global warming increases, temperatures become higher; mostly in the Earth’s oceans, which can have devastating effects on the Earth’s ecosystem (Weart, 2004). Global warming in when “the Earth's atmosphere is overloaded with heat-trapping carbon dioxide, which threatens large-scale disruptions in climate with disastrous consequences” (nrdc.org, 2014). Global warming has become a prevalent issue as of late, given our increased acknowledgement of our own complicity and role in the dramatic increase in global warming in recent years. Global warming can happen for a number of reasons, but the most commonly cited one is the greenhouse effect, in which carbon emissions flow between the Earth’s surface, the atmosphere and outer space, increasing in volume within the atmosphere (EPA, 2014). This essentially keeps solar radiation trapped in the atmosphere, preventing it from escaping and making temperatures rise further. Global warming is a very urgent, immediate issue that human intervention plays a big part in, both in our role in facilitating and minimizing contributions to global warming.…
