The essay “P Is for Prejudice”, written by Allen Abel, states Dr. Frances Aboud’s main thesis on racism. Through her extensive research, this McGill University professor who specializes in childhood racial awareness claims that “prejudice is biological” and that “discrimination was wired into our brain at conception”. In her research, she discovered that 50 to 60 percent of 5 year old are prejudice. Furthermore, she found that 5 times out of 6 white kids choose the drawing of a white character for a positive attribute, and they choose the drawing of a black character as the negative one. As a result, she says that these kids don’t become prejudice because of their parents view or their school view on racism. In fact, she believes that the reason why we are all born prejudice is because
