Army Leadership Roles
In any profession, someone can report to a job and do their daily tasks that’s expected of them but that doesn’t constitute a profession. A profession is a career in which someone becomes competent in their chosen sector through training and maintains their skills through continuing professional development and commits to behaving ethically, to protect the interests of the public. The Army Profession comprised of experts certified in the ethical application of land combat power, serving under civilian authority, entrusted to defend the Constitution and the rights and interests of the American profession.

The Army Professional Culture consists of trained Soldiers aspired to become experts in order to face the dangerous challenges set before us. Soldiers are also trained in other aspects that require the Army to run proficiently on day to day bases making us more diverse in our field. Our ability to adapt and overcome against all odds is what separates us from all other occupations. The Army is entrusted to defend the Constitution and the American people. Soldiers have a moral and ethical responsibility to uphold that honor. Standards are set and failure is not an option. Exercising sound judgements is what the American people trust us to do. The Human Resource Sergeants play a major role in the Army Profession. They are responsible for the overall readiness for that unit. Soldiers need to be ready to deploy at any given moment. As HR Sergeants, we have to make sure Soldiers are combat ready. HR Sergeants also provides admin function s and help guide and develop a Soldier’s career. The Human Resources Sergeant has the role of supporting the Army beliefs and customs. The Sergeant also ensures that a stability in the leadership role is achieved. The Sergeant is in charge of leading junior soldiers and other Human Resources Leaders in the Army in upholding, promoting and protecting the profession values and practices of the

    The second characteristic of professionalism is responsibility. General responsibility creates the moral responsibility of soldiers and helps us understand the set of values which guide us. In addition, however, soldiers must also possess the values of other human beings and question service to a society which does not respect these values.
